Based on other reviews, I have never been sick eating this but to be fair I had the kimchi ones and the veggie. These are the best dumplings I’ve had and I’ve been to dumpling restaurants with their own building and is their speciality as well. This place is what I come back to for dumplings. They’re so soft and the kimchi is amazing. The veggies inside are top tier and so flavorful. I had these when pregnant and I kept craving them I just live far so it’s hard to come here often.

Be careful not to get sick eating their food.
They serve undercooked dumplings and won’t apologize at all. I told the owner that the batter was so sticky it wouldn’t come off my fingers, but she insisted there was NO WAY their food could be undercooked because they steam it before reheating it to serve customers. Well, I just told her I’d dispute the charge with my credit card company since she wouldn’t admit there was a problem. You should apologize first if your food was undercooked instead of telling me to bring back all the food so you could check.

We travelled to Irving for work and decided to check out Hmart, where we stumbled across the foodcourt and Mr. Dumplings caught the attention for I never really tried fresh mandu. I liked kimchin dumplings the most and my husband loved their chiumai. I was hesitated at first scanning through the bad reviews here for common rude customer service. But I used to wait in college and sometimes, serving traditional cultural food to foreign customers is not always an easy and fun ride. It’s the food court not a steak house so lower the expectation a little bit and show a bit more understanding and respect to each other, life would be easier for everyone including one’s self. We came on Sunday busiest lunch time and every table was taken, but the male cashier was happily conversed with my husband about the ongoing war in his hometown (my husband’s ethnicity is Ukrainian) and the other older lady later came out to share the discussion. They even offered him free hot tea. Overall we got very good experience with both food and the people.

not sure what’s up with the bad reviews but I guess people want this experience where people bow down to you and that’s not the case. Just order your food and sit down the lady doesn’t have a bad attitude. I seen at least 6 people go up and just ask random questions they have pictures and display of food

People go there for the food, the dumplings are so good it supersedes any “attitude” y’all may be referring too. Loyal customer here, y’all work everyday all day and see if your jolly 24/7. Soup dumplings are my favorite and the king dumplings with tofu and all the staff is awesome.

This is the best place in DFW for authentic hand made soup dumplings. Everything is made fresh with the best ingredients. The owner has been making the same dumplings for decades, and still works there daily. Super friendly small local business in the H Mart food court. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Even as I was walking up , the old lady getting people’s orders was so impatient, and had a rude tone. Anyways it was our first time there and we weren’t sure how many pieces of dumplings we could order. When we asked if it could be 2 and 2 different dumplings we were told we couldn’t do that. So then we discussed which we would rather have , at this point the workers were annoyed. And we told them what we wanted they said “no sold out” even though we knew it wasn’t true, since they were going to sell us a basket of one of each at first. Anyways terrible customer service and we talked to some people there and they said the dumplings weren’t even worth it. Someone else from the back come a little later and asked if we still wanted them. We kindly declined because if they could be that rude what else could they do? Disappointing.

This was my first time here and my last, my daughter and her friend have been wanting to try dumplings and I let them order some that caught their attention. It was one order, the female at the register kept trying to get me to order me and I staid no thanks. I wanted them to experience the dumplings so I wanted them for dine in and she said no I put them to go. She was very rude I wish I didn’t tip her anything! I don’t no recommend this place to anyone that’s not of the same ethnicity as her. We didn’t finish them, I gave them away to the couple that was sitting next to us.

I am a regular customer who typically orders 2 soup dumplings and 2 shrimp shumai. Today, I decided to only order one shrimp shumai since I had ordered other items from another restaurant. The lady who I am assuming is the owner was very dismissive when handing me my receipt and when I returned to ask for another pair of chopsticks. She seems to favor certain customers depending on how much they order as I witnessed her interaction with others before me. I am disappointed to say that this will be the last time that I will ever eat at Mr. Dumpling due to her unprofessionalism and negative attitude. I find it to be very unfortunate because this used to be my favorite place to eat with my family. Perhaps she can smile every once in a while and treat every paying customer fairly to grow her business.
