Two main things I did not like:
1. We asked for water and were given water bottles $2 each. did not offer tap or let us know that they only provide bottled water (every other restaurant lets you know)
2. The waitress automatically charged us an 18% gratuity which is inappropriate in my opinion, it was only me and my partner. That’s something you’d expect from either a high-end restaurant or for a party of 4-5+ people. It felt really shady to just add tip, and we almost didn’t catch it so we would’ve added additional tip which maybe is why they do it. Who knows, but yeah. Also I normally do 20% so she kinda robbed herself but yeah, I wasn’t happy about her adding it herself.
Note: the receipt says “suggest gratuity” with the prices of 15/18/20% all based on the order total, so you’d have to go out of your way to let them know before they take your card! Otherwise they’ll charge you the 18% that they added themselves. Again, not a common thing, tip is usually added after they charge your card.
The food was overall good, the piña colada was good, my mojito did not taste like one though.
