I’ve been trying to come here for the longest time. Every time I’d drive by, it’s always packed inside and out, line out the door. But this one random morning, I passed by and it was almost empty, so I took my chance. And wow… now I get the hype.
Right when you walk in, there’s a lady making tortillas by hand, that alone sets the tone. The whole place feels warm and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t be nicer.
I ordered the Los Rancheros chilaquiles, two huevos estrellados with ranchero salsa, chorizo, crema, queso, and a little cilantro on top, plus some frijoles on the side. From the first bite, man… pure bliss. The salsa is full of flavor, rich and supper smoky, and the handmade chips soak it all up perfectly. Honestly, it’s not just breakfast, it’s like a full-on gourmet experience. One of those meals that just makes you stop talking for a minute and enjoy the moment.

I fell for the TikTok/IG hype.Great concept bad execution.
While the portions were generous the flavor was nothing out of this world to support the pricing. I had the Mr. Chilaquil ($25) which are homemade tortillas stuffed with cheese then fried. Mine was undercooked I could taste the raw dough. My mom ordered chilaquiles al chipotle ($18). She said it tasted more like tomato and hardly any chipotle. Cafe de olla ($4)was ok but watered down. $0.25 extra for milk??
The space cramped, employees were running around. If you’re stuck waiting for a table inside you’re practically standing next to people eating.
They have an indoor and outdoor space but nothing that flows from the inside to outside.
Worth giving it a try but not something I would return for or recommend.

This place was soo good! I was on a trip from NC and stopped here 2 times and had a great experience. I called before hand to ask about a wait time but there was none. My partner and I had the queso fresco with fresh handmade tortillas! The food is very authentic and the prices are reasonable considering the food is handmade. I am surprised to see the bad reviews. We had a great experience both times. The staff is friendly and the wait on food was very reasonable.

I wasn’t aware they were about to close when I arrived, so that was on me, but it definitely affected the experience. I got my food, but shortly after, one of the staff members started sweeping and mopping the floor right next to me while I was still eating. It made me feel rushed and unwelcome, like they couldn’t wait for me to leave.
The food itself was just okay — nothing special for the price. It definitely felt overpriced for what I got. The place looks nice and the atmosphere is decent, but overall the experience wasn’t worth what I paid. I left feeling disappointed. Probably wouldn’t come back.

FOOD WAS DELICIOUS if you are into authentic latin food. Spicy ️ Meals and delicious drinks . THIS IS A AUTHENTIC LATIN RESTAURANT and there is a long wait due to the extreme amount of people walking in to eat here so be prepared for the wait . Waiters dont stop attempting to get to everyone and make sure your table is getting what they need. Be kind and understanding of the wait when coming here and i assure you the food will be authentically delicious .

Lets start off by saying this place is authentic mexican food. The negative reviews that people have left are honestly pretty dumb considering that they dont see why the food takes a while. I let their food speak for itself. Thats why people keep coming back. Yes they might take a while to have the food ready. But keep in mind there is only about 3 servers. Its a small family owned business and you can tell they work really hard to get everyone satisfied. I ordered the chilaquiles rancheros and they were delicious. A bit spicy but definitely worth the wait. Their food is made FRESH AND FROM SCRATCH. the people who came on here to give them a bad review clearly never had made from scratch mexican food. Its worth the wait believe me. The big conchitas that they served is HUGE perfect for a family. We got the molcajete salsa with cheese and hand made tortillas. It was worth the appetizer. The horchata frappe is pretty good and the horchata itself is delicious. I will come back to support these people. Their food is amazing and i understand why they are behind when it comes to orders but at the end of the day. The servers will work hard and fast to attend all customers. Especially when they are mad. Muchas gracias Mr.Chilaquil. we will be back next time we are in town.

This was the best experience ever!!! Really made my day. The service was superb. These ladies were like aunties, just so cheerful and happy to see you serving with such great energy. Not to mention, the delicious food and the cafe de olla was amazing!!

We’ve been here at least 5 times. Review is overdue. Every time we go it’s with a bigger group, we all sample each others food. All of it is amazing, Mr Chilaquile specialty dish is fantastic. Cafe de olla is on point, even the huge concha that tastes bland and dry anywhere else in the world, here it is hard to stop eating it.
The place is not big and the service is very Mom n Pop, I wouldn’t change a thing. These folks go 110% for you every visit. Bring your patience and your gratitude. Great things take time, enjoy.

These reviews are crazy, I thought it was common sense some restaurants have long waiting time on weekends. I came at 11am on a monday and the line was fairly small and the wait was only 15 minutes for our group of 3.
The workers are very polite and attentive! The place is a bit small yes but the food was very delicious! The Mr.Chilaquil was very good (good option for people that like spicy). I would say the wait is worth it!
