Sweetness 11
As far as Chinese rice is concerned, the food is absolutely and totally TASTELESS. So Bland!!! Tell me why I am paying almost $15 for an order of shrimp fried rice??? If it tasted good, I wouldn’t complain. I honestly wish I could give 0 stars!!! I’m so pissed that we git 2 orders and wasted almost $30!!!!

Great dinner! Has a little market attached to the restaurant, and that was fun to look through after dinner. Reasonable prices, and some great deals at lunch time. Loved the Sesame Chicken! My wife got the sweet and sour chicken and loved it too.

There was not a wait at 11a on a Sunday. The server was friendly and helpful and the place was clean. I had the sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. The food was just average. The fried rice didn’t have a whole lot of flavor to me and was more sweet than anything else. The chicken and sweet and sour sauce had a good flavor. My husband had the orange chicken and enjoyed it. I did not like the egg roll. I would try something else next time. It was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

Probably the best Chinese restaurant in Tuscaloosa. Compared to other Chinese restaurants across the country about average. Good food, but not great. Portions are reasonable. Always a crowded choice which is a good sign. Interesting Asian market on the side is fun to go through and shop. Staff are generally attentive and friendly.

I love Mr. Chen’s. It is always good. The food is consistent. I have never had a bad experience there. The staff is nice and togo orders are fast. They always get my order correct and basically know me by sight when I pick up food. My wife absolutely loves it, but this is my review so 5 stars. The market is fantastic. I get lots of stuff from there, and there are quite a few things you can’t find in a normal grocery store. Overall it is one of my favorite restaurants just because they never do a bad job. Their pan fried dumplings are pretty good. I recently went back and they were careful to make sure I didn’t get any corn in my food. The manager still remembers me even though I haven’t been here in years.

First time eating here and it was delicious! Service was awesome too! We didn’t taste anything that we didn’t like. The sauce with the dumplings was to die for! Will definitely eat here again! Don’t let the area outside this establishment deter you! We didn’t have time to check out the grocery side but it was well stocked and appeared to have lots of inventory!

Best Chinese food in Tuscaloosa. The restaurant is located in its own section of the authentic Chinese store. Do not let the appearance fool you. The portions are plentiful and very delicious. Big fan of their lunch specials and General Tao’s Chicken. Highly recommend.

My friend wanted to eat here again so we came for lunch at 11:15. They weren’t busy yet. We both ordered the chicken with vegetables. We also got the spring roll, fried rice, and egg drop soup. The rice looked and tasted more like steamed rice. It was chewy and wasn’t even browned. The entree wasn’t the same as last time either. It was in a white sauce and the vegetables weren’t cooked. The soup was really good and so was the spring roll. My friend made the comment that the portions were smaller. I noticed that too. We won’t order that dish again. We’ll stick with something that we know we like for sure, unless they mess it up.
