First time trying Mr Burger and loved it! Did a double burge combo platter with fries, coleslaw and a drink. Burger was tasty and watching them make it right there was great. Crispy fries! So good I went back the next day for breakfast. Killer breakfast! Had the combo platter with eggs, bacon, toast and their famous american fries…..yeah they are great!. Place was hopping and i know why!

This restaurant stays busy, which says alot about their food and service

I love stopping here for lunch because the taste is classic

The tuna melt was so good, I can tell the tuna is a different recipe than when I first had it – awesome job on enhancing the flavor!

The fries are always cooked fresh – they make everything made to order here

A must-stop if you’re looking for a classic diner experience

The photos in this post are from last year, my sandwich didn’t last long enough yesterday for an update

Like stepping back in time. I’d heard about the olive burger, but never had one, as this was my first time in West Michigan. It’s simple, but I understand why it works. I got one as a meal with fries and slaw, and a slice of coconut cream pie.

The food is served somewhat cafeteria-style. You grab a tray and move down a line. It’s kind of impressive how they make the food quickly enough that it doesn’t hold up the line. Desserts & such are already sliced up, sitting in a cold case.

The pie was a tad too dense for me, but that’s really my only complaint about the food. I loved the decor. I know it can be tempting to want to modernize, but people enjoy the novelty of spaces like this. It’s oddly large, so there’s no rush. The older gentleman next to me was finishing his breakfast and reading the paper. Never change, Mr. Burger! You’ve got something special going on.

Stopped for breakfast with a friend traveling through. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

eggs were cooked as ordered. Bacon wad good although not great. Home fries were plentiful and very tasty.

Mr Burger is a place where you order at the counter. You receive your drink. You pay up front and then take a seat. When your food is ready they call your number and you go to the counter to get your food. Interesting way to do things.

For Refills on coffee there were two pots for self.serve. cold drinks you went to counter.

A man did come by and clear the table. We didn’t leave a tip as there really wasn’t any service.

Food was good but if I am at a restuarant I like someone bringing my food to me and refilling my beverage. Happy to pay for that..

Price wise pretty reasonable as the two of us spent about $12 each for food and beverage. And with no tip very affordable l.

We were there at 9 am and rhe place wad very busy. Mostly older men!

Classic Diner Vibes with Friendly Service!

Stopped by Mr. Burger on Lake Michigan Drive NW in Grand Rapids. Loved the nostalgic 50-year retro diner ambiance. Service was prompt and friendly, and the seating area was neat and clean. Opted for the Mr. Burger Combo; the burger was tasty though the fries could’ve used some salt. Presentation on a platter would’ve added to the retro feel. Nonetheless, it’s a good spot worth visiting. Recommended!

They got breakfast all day! The prices are a bargain. They do the basics really well. You come to Mr. Burger not because you want the best meal of your life, but because you’re hungry and want something decent that won’t break the bank. They deliver that experience every time without fail.

Reminded me of the restaurants we’d go to when I was a kid with my parents and grandparents! LOVED IT!! Kind of a self serve style vibe with good food and a very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Always a solid choice. Hot fresh cooked burgers, breakfast and home cooked goodness. Pie by the slice. Fresh made ice tea. This place is a gem in the area. Support local.

This wasn’t bad at all. We went in, for our first time, and was surprised that it has an outdated 80s type of vibe, but I mean really who cares haha. We weren’t sure where to go, since there isn’t a sign of what to do. But when you go in, you go up front and place your order and then pay like a cafeteria style lunch line, then you sit down. Food was fresh and was actually pretty good. We have been wanting to try it for a while and I am sure we will be back. Prices were very reasonable.

My most favorite old person place to go. Grew up going here and still do, it is really a great place! I hope it’s around for many more years.

Update: as much as I love it they really need help with order accuracy, If I do anything special it’s highly likely it will be wrong so we always have to verify our drive thru orders. Love then though
