Neighborhood Bar & Restaurant on Georgia Ave is owned by the same group behind Kitchen. It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night, they market themselves as a “bar food” spot—and that’s exactly what you get—so if you keep your expectations in check, you’ll enjoy it.
The menu is small, and while the food is just fine, it’s definitely overpriced for what it is. That said, the happy hour is great, and the cocktails are excellent. The crowd was attractive and lively, pulling in a fun mix from the SoSo neighborhood.
What truly made the night for me were the homemade desserts—especially the coconut cake and banana cream pie, which were fantastic and absolutely worth it. I’d also be remiss not to mention the staff: friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Overall, a solid spot for drinks, dessert, and atmosphere more than for the food.

My husband and I have been eager to check out this new restaurant for a while now. SO glad we did! Very cool vibe, great drinks, KILLER lobster roll! My husband loved the burger.
The only downside was the music/DJ was a bit loud for my taste it was 7pm on a Friday night, and I’m noise sensitive, but your results may vary. Good tunes though. Will be back for their generous happy hour offerings and weekly special.

Cool little local spot. Lots of seating and tables to dine in and lots of bar seating. Drinks are pretty expensive for a “ tavern” or bar. Drinks at restaurants on the water cost less than there. About $18 for a cocktail. Nice bartenders and great dj. Only time I would check it out again would be happy hour.

I saw this place rated on Nextdoor this afternoon with nice reviews so I sent to my wife. Let’s go check it out. We’re always looking for a new places to go had the Caesar salad, which was very nice. I had the Smashburger and my wife had the fried chicken sandwich we both had sweet potato fries. The drinks were good. The weight staff was excellent just a nice place to go and have something different definitely will be back.

Recently had the pleasure of dining at Mr. B’s with friends and can confidently say it was exceptional!!! We ordered everything of the menu, and I can’t even decide which was my favorite. The Burger brought me back to life, The muscles which you can have a white or red were amazing and their portions are phenomenal, definitely don’t skip the banana pie and their famous coconut cake !!!
Overall , Mr B’s Tavern exceeded all expectations with its delicious food, welcoming ambiance, and outstanding service. Will definitely be my new spot! Highly recommend!

Had high expectations but ended up disappointed. The smash burger was very salty and the fries smelled like they were fried in the same oil as fish. Cool place, but for the money…one drink and a burger was $38, before tip….there are many better options. The smash burger at Tropical Smokehouse blows this one away, even the burger at The Park Cabana is better than this one.

Decent bar food and low key good spot to watch football if you live close by. Casual vibe, but wouldn’t say it’s kid-friendly which was a bummer. We went after church and brought our 1 yr old but they didn’t have high chairs, booster seats or a kids menu. Menu was an easy work around- a one year-old without a seat not so much!

This is a wonderful place to come with friends to eat. The food is fresh and delicious. I love the fish sandwich and the sweet potato fries with aioli sauce. The coleslaw is just right. The wine list includes sancere, which is splendid. Guacamole and fish dips are hand made, as it’s everything.
