We’d heard mixed reviews about Mr. Bones, so we were curious to check it out while visiting family in town. I’m so glad we did! We ordered the fish tacos with sweet potato fries and corn, a cheeseburger, and the Cajun chicken pasta. Although, the corn came without any seasoning – I did ask for some and it was quickly brought out. Besides that everything came out quickly and piping hot. Always a good sign!
Our server Donica was fantastic! She kept our drinks filled to the brim throughout the meal and was attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant itself is beautiful and noticeably well-maintained and clean.
We’d definitely come back, though I’d recommend timing your visit before the dinner/happy hour rush if you want a more relaxed experience. Overall, a great spot that exceeded our expectations!

I gu ss not my night tonight, I came from a restaurant that didn’t even offer me a menu, so I drove over to Mr.Bones where my meals have been great, I ordered Blackened Salmon, but Salmon not blackened, just a piece of Salmon ,, baked potato not hot, just warm, service was attentive, I asked for Blackened seasoning which server brought, not same, but better than just eating plain unseasoned Salmon. Plus Salmon was overcooked, Alice Texas, come on guys !!!

New restaurant does not disappoint! The steaks were perfect and the Chicken Fried Steak was delicious with a soft seasoning and great crust. The olny thing missing is bread, lol. The restaurant is divided in two sections, restaurant and sports bar, with its own privacy in a sense. It’s an open floor plan with tables in the middle and small booths along the 3 walls. A projection screen is up on 2 walls. The sports bar has various screens for different events. It is away from the restaurant but tables are also available. Patrons do not “see” each other from the bar to restaurant for privacy in a sense. Expect to pay minimum $25 per person plus tips. The parking lot does need to be resurfaced to avoid the pot holes.

It was our first time trying this place, of course we were excited. Everything on the menu sounded so good, we couldn’t decide what to order. Unfortunately, we wanted a great first experience but didn’t recieve it. My husband ordered the wings and rib plate and his wings were very under cooked, basically raw once he bit into them. Not just 1 wing, but all 5 on the plate. He ate one before he noticed, we notified the waitress immediately and she took his plate said “I’ll let the cook know.” No manager acknowledged the situation in anyway. Leaving this review just so others are aware and don’t get sick like my husband did.. Please order your wings well done! We would not return.

The 16oz Ribeye steak was soooo delicious!! The asparagus was not over cooked and had a good flavor, and the bacon wrapped shrimp were also delicious! I especially liked that I didn’t have to cut tails off! We also had their yummy ribeye street tacos, I didn’t take a photo sadly. Just the right portion. It came with beans and rice which were also delicious. The salsa could’ve been different but that’s probably just personal preference. I highly recommend. They definitely give Kingsville Steakhouse and Ol’ Steakhouse a run for their money!

My friend and I went today; wait no time for a table, got our drinks quick, and our total visit in while was less than 45 mins.
The food was delicious, my only complaint would be the chips; tasted like from a cheap bag not freshly fried. I wished my steak was little less cooked (asked for medium with little pink). Other than that; the food came out quick and portion sizes were huge.
Our waitress was amazing; continuously check in and kept our drinks refilled.

I’ve had a just about everything on the menu except for the steak and the pasta. Everything is definitely great food wise except for the fact that they need to have a more reserved hand when it comes to putting black pepper on people’s food. I’m all for seasoning but when you can’t taste anything but the black pepper that’s overboard seasoning. Portion sizes are worth it, the atmosphere is lovely, the bartender is exquisitely great at her job, highly recommend anybody who has the chance to check this place out to do so.
