Establishment is very neon/50s era code. But is also grimey. Could use a very good deep clean. Pizza and fries were good. The beef left much to be desired. This beef is what you would get in the UK if they had some there. UK version aka very little flavor. The hot pepper blend is 90% oil and no flavor.

This past early September marked the very first time trying the popular Mount Prospect eatery after taking my boys to a nearby indoor playground.
Venue has a spacious dining area with an old school classic vibe, slot machines, extensive all-around menu with really good food (especially the pizza) at still reasonable prices and friendly service.
A cool place to dine in for some good quality eats and family/kid friendly indeed. I live all the way up in Beach Park but if ever down in the area again, I’d highly consider stopping at Mr. Beef and Pizza again!

I ordered a pepperoni pizza slice. I became alarmed when I noticed there was just one pepperoni on the pizza and then found that most of them were hidden beneath the cheese layer. I believe this was done on purpose to give it a distinctive appearance. The pizza’s cheese was spread equally throughout. The pie’s frame was airy and slightly firm, and the sauce had a subtle tartness.
I also had a New York strip steak sandwich. The steak itself was delicious and had a good charred aroma from the grill. The only issue I had was that it was cooked too well, which made it difficult to chew. The bread is lightly toasted, has a lovely golden color, and is still fluffy. The sandwich is served with sliced tomatoes, a little sweet grilled onions, and freshly chopped lettuce. Despite its simplicity, the sandwich had a pleasant flavor and texture.

Cousin! As fans of The Bear, my wife and I felt obligated to grab some Italian beef before our flight out of O’Hare. With a name like Mr. Beef, how could we say “no?”
We visited on a Friday evening and it was not super busy. There are ample tables for the busy hours.
We were greeted at the counter and ordered from the large menu posted behind the counter. I got an Italian beef plate and a beer; my wife got a gyro plate and pop. Both dishes came with fries and were reasonably priced.
The serving sizes were generous and the food was very good. I would go again and recommend it to folks seeking out this kind of food.

Had the Gyros Platter. The Gyros meat was dried out. Asked for some extra sauce and they charged me for it. The Pizza Puff wasn’t cooked all the way and the breaded mushrooms were still cold on the inside! The fries weren’t completely cooked and were waxy tasting. I guess the cook was in a hurry. The order taker rushes you to order and has a sarcastic attitude.
The guy complained about how much he pays for sauce. He doesn’t realize that his food was dry and that he charges way too much for subpar food! Relax buddy! If you have to be a jerk to your customers about a little extra sauce maybe try another business! The place is nice on the inside, but because of the food and crappy service, I won’t go there anymore.

I don’t know what happened with my pizza I believe this is a pre-made FROZEN DOUGH! VERY DISGUSTING AND DISAPPOINTING it’s not fresh pizza DOUGH LIKE BEFORE I used to come here before almost every week for $9.99,$11.99 now $13.99 i am sorry I can accept the prices but now a frozen DOugh really makes me sad I don’t think they gonna be here for long time…I Love this place we made a lot of good memories with the family team st. Unbelievable beef sandwich, and the pizza is great, too. Definitely my favorite beef sammie I’ve ever tried! Perfect fries. Love a restaurant with SoBe Lifewater – feels like a blast from the past! This restaurant is immaculate. The theming is fantastic, the space is clean, and all of the booths/tables/etc are in excellent shape. You really notice since everything is hot pink and turquoise! Just obsessed with this place

Mr.Beef – I have been there many times and they did ok . Service is great , but food – nothing different from other places that sell same thing .
If you just need to fill up your stomach – great fast food on the budget . If you looking for quality – keep looking , but don’t forget that quality means more $$$$$$
