Tried hard to really like this place, but it’s hit and miss. Prices are fair and portions are good sized, but the quality just doesn’t stand out. Service was a bit lacking. The young lady only came over to our table a couple of times other than seating us and taking the order. She brought the order and we asked for A1 sauce, took several minutes to get it, and then we didn’t see her again til the end of the meal when she brought the ticket. And they weren’t even that busy, just a few tables had customers seated. Fried garlic mushroom appetizer was pretty good. The salad was the high point of my meal. Not that the meal itself was bad, but I ordered the smaller ribeye with baked potato & salad, and for the potato (I love a loaded baked potato) I asked for “everything that they could put on it”. It came with butter. That’s it. I ordered the ribeye, medium with a hard sear. It was mid-rare with a slight sear. By the time the server finally made it back around, it would have been too late to send it back for correction. Everyone else in our party was well into their meal. My wife’s BbQ plate was “okay”. But just okay. Brother in law was happy with his medium well ribeye, and Sister in Law was happy with her BbQ baked potato. Wife and I tried to like it but….. it’s just not happening. We might give it another try on our next trip from Florida this Spring, but if it’s not an improvement over this time. Everybody can have a one-off rough day, so I don’t want to make a final judgement on that possibility. But after a follow up, if it’s not a better experience, that’ll be the last time.

I had been wanting to give his restaurant a try for years. I decided on the NY Strip and absolutely PERFECTLY cooked. My potato and house salad was delicious as well. I definitely could taste the quality in the texture of the meats. Absolutely recommend this place to others.

Thissss place is spectacular.., Everything was absolutely amazing, the service was fantastic the waitress was very attentive and helpful, my family was very pleased with the quality of food let me say Mr. Butter Bean really set the mark so very high I am so excited I enjoyed every bite and the history on the walls .. a plus.. I recommend 100% if you haven’t tried this place let me tell you it’s worth the drive..

We were able to get seated right away. The waitress did a great job with our 3 kids. They didn’t have any kids menus made up so they wrote down what they had for the kiddos to look at. Food came out quickly and the waitress kept checking on us. Food was good and there was a lot of it. Will definitely come back again.

This place is awesome!! Not only was our server great so was the bartender. I ordered a med well NY Strip steak with salad and baked potato and I was happy I didn’t have to send my steak back so koodos to the chef! Everything came out on time friendly environment. Definitely will be back!!!

I really liked this place. The stakes are amazing, very large and everyone seem to be ordering them bring them. I had a ribbon sandwich which was very tasty and there and there pulled pork was pretty good. I would say the sauce could use a little work. Very nice staff.

Solidly good first-time new-to-town customer here from today. Only know NC BBQ, so was eager to try some Dixieland type. Was delighted. Fairly-priced huge portions of delicious food–see pulled BBQ platter pics. Baked beans were equally good, if not better. Service friendly, attentive, and fast. Spacious open interior with ample parking. Never met Mr. Bean himself but would like to shake his hand and say Well done,S’ir!

So I went here today with my son, ordered a Chicken Finger plate with corn nuggets and okra. The chicken was cooked perfectly and taste great. Okra was cooked perfect just needed a tiny bit of salt but still very good. Now the corn nuggets well, they was cooked well but was a bit to sweet for my taste. My son enjoyed them so it was really just them not being my style so will try different side next time. The service and music was awesome as well. Enjoyable experience.

Great food. Takes a little while to cook. But was very enjoyable. My steak was cooked correctly (rare) and my wife enjoyed her steak tips. Fries are very tasty with their seasoning and my corn nuggets were good too!! We ordered some cheese curds with ranch and that was a tasty snack!! Pricing was reasonable for a non big chain place. If you like sports they have tvs everywhere

Best baked beans I’ve ever had. The steak was a tad on the salty side but it was still super tender and awesome. Adding some collard greens to the menu would have really topped this steak off. A solid 4.5 stars! The bartender was pretty cool too. A couple of pinball machines would put this place over the top!
