Nestled right on the Sonoma square, this incredible restaurant is easy to miss — but it absolutely shouldn’t be. We were only able to snag a late 3:30 p.m. reservation for a Valentine’s dinner, and it was completely worth it, no matter the time.

From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and highly professional, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the shrimp wontons, short ribs, and gem salad — and every single dish was mind-blowing. The portions were perfectly balanced, leaving us satisfied without feeling overly full.

The restaurant itself offers a cozy, warm, and intimate environment that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. This is truly a must-visit spot when you’re in Sonoma.

Mozaik Sonoma gets a cautious 5 stars from me, and only because I suspect they’re just getting warmed up. This is a small Sonoma Square spot that feels like a design experiment in the best possible way. The chandeliers glow, the bar setup is modern and inviting, and the staff and owner are genuinely kind and engaged. They’re clearly still shaping the identity of the place, but they’re already ahead of most restaurants that have been around for years.

I ordered three dishes and every one of them hit hard.

The Asiago Stuffed Gnocchi came out as soft, rich little dumplings with molten cheese inside and a brown butter situation that makes you forget your manners. It’s comforting but still polished.

The Sichuan Wontons and Prawns were the shocker of the night. A legit pool of aromatic chili oil with real flavor and a gentle burn, brightened by spring onions and cilantro. The prawns were cooked perfectly and gave the dish more heft than usual wontons.

The Marrakesh Kafta was hearty and soulful, with beef and pork meatballs roasted in a Moroccan-spiced tomato sauce with yogurt and cilantro. A dish you think you’ll just taste once or twice before you realize you’re scraping the pan clean.

Add friendly service, a great bar setup, and a perfect Sonoma Square location, and it’s an easy place to recommend. They’re still figuring out their final identity, but if this is their early stage, they’re on a very promising trajectory.

A fun, flavorful, genuinely impressive spot. Cautious 5 stars, only because I think they’re about to get even better.

My Bf and I ate at Mozaik on Saturday evening. It was one of the best restaurants we have eaten at in Sonoma. After spending a long day at the Raceway we wanted an easy place to eat. They’ll usually ask if you have a reservation, which we did not. However, that was not an issue. We were sat right away. The host was super welcoming and the waiter was even more so. The food was amazing, super good quality, and perfect portions. I recommend the burger, ribs, Cesar salad, and prawns. The food took no more than 15 min. David our waiter went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, and was super kind. All around good vibes from him which made our experience all the more better. My bf was so happy they had an espresso machine as well. Highly recommend this place and we will for sure be coming back!

The Gnocchi was probably the best ever! Great little restaurant with a laid back vibe. Also had the Thai curry dish, which was delicious. Little ️ for the wife. Good wine pairings for each dish. Overall solid place. It’s small, so I’d definitely recommend reservations.

We rarely write reviews but our dinner at Mosaik was so rewarding we would be remis not to share our experience.
We chose Mosaik at the recommendation of friends and owe them a thank you note.
The interior design is simply beautiful and the staff warm yet professional. The restaurant is both casual and elegant. The menu offers global choices and it took us some time to decide as each entree sounded delicious. David, our attentive server, offered wine and dinner recommendations, and made us feel right at home.
I chose the Asian Glazed Short Ribs (they were amazing!) with a side of mashed potatoes and my spouse had the Crown Salad with Prawns. We shared the Sweet & Spiced Carrots. All three dishes were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.
With the attention we received, you would swear we were the only diners in the establishment!
Be sure to make a reservation as it is a small, intimate restaurant. If you are in Sonoma and have one choice for dinner, you will be delighted that you chose Mosaik!

We had a fantastic experience at MOZAIK. We were welcomed right away and offered our choice of seating, and chose to sit at the bar. The bartender was friendly, great to talk with, and gave us excellent recommendations.

We ordered the sea bass and the Szechuan shrimp with wontons, and both dishes were outstanding. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. The whole evening felt relaxed, warm, and genuinely enjoyable.

We highly recommend MOZAIK to anyone looking for a delicious meal in Sonoma Valley. We’ll definitely be back!

Highly recommended. Located in the heart of the adorable Sonoma Plaza. Went there twice within a month and both times everything was phenomenal. First time has the Barramundi Sea Bass and Pomme Frites. Second time had the Asian Sticky Ribs, Thai Green Curry, and TWO orders of the Asiago Stuffed Gnocchi (ordered the second one after devouring the first one, so good). Great portion sizes, sharable. Special shoutout to David and Miranda for always making you and your party feel extra special. Reservations recommended.

An Absolute Gem on the Sonoma Square!
Hands down, the best new restaurant in Sonoma! The gnocchi dish and sea bass were absolutely phenomenal—maybe the best in their class. We were personally greeted and seated by one of the delightful owners, who took the time to walk us through the menu with genuine passion and care.

The corkage was $25, the food was nothing short of spectacular, and the service was top-tier—some of the best we’ve ever experienced on a busy Saturday night.

Until then, don’t sleep on Moziak in Sonoma—their dishes are every bit as eclectic and creative as their name suggests. We’ll definitely be back!
