Mo’z Mediterranean grill is a very delicious restaurant that is located in West Des moines. I don’t normally have the chance to go and try Mediterranean style food, but it’s always a welcome change when I get a chance to try it. And this place is delicious. I started off with a basic appetizer. Although I don’t remember the name of it, it was basically meat and vegetables for fried in a ball of dough serve with tzatziki sauce. Very flavorful, smelled fantastic, was fresh, and was honestly one of my favorite parts of the whole lunch. I then got myself a chicken shawarma, and it did not disappoint. Granted, I could have gotten a plate, which they do have plates here, but I was craving a shawarma. The waitress was very kind and very quick with my order, in the entirety of the restaurant just had a very homely feel to it. It also has a grocer integrated with the store, meaning you get also buy some authentic Mediterranean stuff should you need it. Legitimately, I love this place, and I do attend on coming back here as soon as I can. If you love Mediterranean food, then this place is a must. Even if it may seem out of the way.
So what are you waiting for? Go and eat!

First time eating at Mo’z & I will definitely be going back for more! I ordered the Meat Combo Plate & a gyro. The plate came with salad, rice & all of the meats! Both orders tasted fantastic & hit the spot. Large portions, so now I have an lunch for tomorrow! The service was also really good. Attentive & polite! If you’re looking for a good Mediterranean meal or would like to try out a new spot, absolutely check out Mo’z!

A hidden gem! Very personable service in a nice quaint casual atmosphere. Chicken Shawarma combo plate, (# 11 I believe) was excellent! I ordered baklava to go , and can’t wait to try it! Large portions, really quality food, and kind service. There are also Palestinian necklaces and bracelets available for sale at the counter, and a grocery wall, with fresh baked middle eastern bread. This was my first visit, but I will definitely be bringing friends here for amazing Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food!!

I ate there for the first time today and it was sooo good! I ordered Kibbeh. It was just like my grandma’s from Dearborn Michigan. I also got stuffed grape leaves and a salad. I am so excited to eat them but I am full. I can’t wait for my daughter’s to come home from University so we can go there. It is my favorite place to eat in Iowa right now. I use to go to Open Sesame a lot but it was downtown and kind of pricey. This place is convenient and affordable. AND DELICIOUS

Super cute atmosphere, food was so authentic it brought a tear to my eye. I haven’t been able to find a fattoush salad since Ioved here and this one was perfectly seasoned. Waitress was super sweet ( Marina) , she spent a lot of time explaining everything to another table and answering all their questions with patience and and a gentle smile. … hummus so fresh they probably make it to order. My wife and I will definitely be back. Also I took the leftovers home since there was so much food, and my kid loved it too!

I don’t usually write reviews, but sitting here right now and felt compelled to compliment this establishment.
Food was fresh, cooked perfectly well (the char on the chicken – oh my)
Portions – huge, I’ll be taking some home.
Price – I saw another review complaining about price, but honestly I feel like I got a great value. Food is excellent and portion aligns to that value.
I will be back (with my wife next time).
Thank you for a great experience

The gyro, the french fries, and the rice are good. I don’t recommend the beef kabobs based on my opinion. Food like most places these days is on the expensive side.

The person serving us was absolutely lovely and really made the experience so much more lovely! The food smelled amazing before even arriving at the table and it tasted even better! The hummus was the best I’ve ever had and the pita was fresh and warm. The fries are crispy and fresh and all of the food was to die for.

The kabab wraps are great. The plates are equally good and you definitely won’t leave hungry. The felafels are the best I’ve had. Even the French fries are really good. The gyro was a little dry but could be fixed with additional tzatziki, but that could be just a personal preference.

The food was DELICIOUS!!
Seriously, we had the number 14. It had great portions of kabobs, chicken, lamb, rice and salad.
I cant say what the favorite was as everything tasted fresh and authentic.
The baklava was amazing!
And the cherry to the story is that it didnt break the bank.
Service was a tad on the slow side but the server/cashier was kind and polite.
This beats any fast food joint by a landslide.
I hope everyone reads this review and gives this place an honest chance. You will NOT be disappointed.!
