Such an adorable place that just happens to make exceptional food, pastries and bread. The breakfast panini was truly amazing. It gets crowded but somehow the service was fast. Highly recommended.

How much do I love Moxie Bread Co? Let me count the ways. I love their location in the heart of Louisville. I love that they switch up the innards of the King’s eggs every day so you don’t know what you’ll get (hint: it’s always delicious). I love that they offer holiday baking and pizza nights. As a small business owner here in Louisville, I love their dedication to our community. Thank you for being you, Moxie Bread Co. Please never change.

Moxie is a lovely bakery! Whenever I’m in the area, I pick up a treat as well as some of their flour or bread.

For pastries, their croissants are some of the crispiest, flakiest ones around. They are well worth it. They use the same dough to make kouign-amann, and those are my favorites. The flavors change regularly, yet I love all of them.

If you bake, definitely pick up some of their flour. It is some of the most flavorful, delicious whole wheat flour. I use it in all my baking; I’ll usually use 2/3 all-purpose flour and 1/3 whole wheat from Moxie. It adds a lovely nuttiness and richness to any recipe – even chocolate chip cookies. My favorite is the turkey red, however I’ll often pick up a new one to try, too!

Their bread loaves are delectable; they are absolutely delicious, even if it’s just with some butter. We use them for everything – sandwiches, toast, stuffing, snacks.

My only complaint about Moxie is that I wish I lived closer so I could get it more often <3

A trip to Moxie is always a treat. Everything here is absolutely delicious but today I focused on one of their chocolate chip cookies and a big walnut brownie. What a great source of energy and gastronomic enjoyment! This is my favorite location because I love the outdoor space. Check out the beautiful Italian outdoor wood fired oven – – what a work of art!

Love Moxie! Great drinks and pastries. We get their sourdough regularly. A little bummed they don’t slice it for you but that’s okay. good spot to hang out, a little tight on space inside but tons of great outdoor seating.

Lovely cafe.

Really nice outdoor space out front and back. Parallel city parking.

Nice latte and seasonal syrup is lavender thyme. Matcha is good.

Their avocado toast is a bit bland though the bread is great. The bagel is really yum! Loved the ham and cheese croissant. The king egg is a bit too eggy.

Great service and friendly vibes. Will come back. Love coming Saturdays before the farmers market (right at 9am is there typically a 5-10 person line so arriving 850 or 915 is helpful).

Everything was tasty, but it was overpriced. A croissant is $6 which is ridiculous. The Jerusalem bagel was tiny—nothing like the real deal—but it was quite good. It would also be great if they had more vegetarian options. The space is a little rough around the edges, but there is ample outdoor seating.

I shared a delicious Sunday breakfast with my wife here. Moxie delivers creaky floor charm, wooden stump seats, and delicious food in a decidedly casual atmosphere. My almond chocolate croissant was flakey, warm and decadent — a real morning pick-me-up. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the smoked salmon on the Jerusalem bagel. The nutty sesame seed, chewy bagel texture and smoke flavor really complimented each other. My wife’s avocado toast was devoured! Will be coming back.

Very cool local bread company. The croissants are amazing. My son got the ciabatta club sandwich which looked good. They have non-dairy milk options. I recommend the latte with oat milk!! Plenty of outdoor rustic/natural seating and even some toys for kids to play with!

So lucky that Moxie Bread Company isn’t too far away from me! There are a number of different freshly breads to choose from depending on your taste! One of my favorites is Millabrød although their sweet treats are delicious as well, particularly the chocolate croissants! Lunch is also a treat! So far I’ve tried the Avocado Toast loaded with avocados, cucumbers and radishes. Drinks are made with care and artfully finished! The staff are super friendly and it’s clear they know a lot of the patrons. I can’t wait for the summer as they have seating outside as well, however inside is super cozy and has local artwork for sale on the walls. This will surely quickly become one of my favorite places to hang out.
