Social Profile:

Mowgli is all about how Indians eat at home and on their streets. She was born to feed the raw need Indians have for tiffins full of fresh bright intense flavour. Mowgli is not about the intimate, hushed dining experience. It is about the smash and grab zing of healthy, light, virtuosic herbs and spices. The simple dishes of a Mowgli menu are a million miles away from the curry stereotype. These dishes convey the truth that real Indian food is extremely healthy, often vegan and always packed with fresh flavour.

Lovely place for a slightly different edge to your usual restaurant. Swing seats and twinkling fairy lights ✨️ gives this place a lovely feel. The starter chatt bombs ( i think there called) were nice, not what I expected as they are a cold starter but nice all the same. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Would recommend to others.

Weekend visit to Lincoln and decided to eat here on the Saturday evening which was extremely busy, obviously very popular, despite this the staff were great, very helpful with questions we asked trying to decide on what to order. Service was prompt and the food was delicious. The whole place was decked out with lights giving it a wonderful warm fun atmosphere. This was a first visit to Mowgli for us but we will definitely be visitng the one that has recently opened in Norwich near where we live soon.

Absolutely cracking visit to **Mowgli, Lincoln** — and I say this as someone who takes food *very* seriously (I have trust issues after soggy chips elsewhere).

First impressions: the place looks like Wagamama and Ole Ole had a stylish Indian street-food baby and raised it under a blanket of fairy lights. Honestly, it’s stunning inside — twinkly lights everywhere, cosy vibes, and even **swing seats**. Yes, swings. Sadly, we behaved like responsible adults and sat on normal chairs, but the inner child was *itching*.

Food-wise, Mowgli is Indian street food tapas-style, so little dishes designed for sharing. The waiter explained this (very helpfully) and suggested 2–3 dishes per person. Being modest eaters, we went rogue: **one dish each**, plus bread and rice. And guess what? Perfectly full. Smug, even.

The food itself? Outstanding. Every bite was like my mouth had booked a Bollywood dance routine — flavours popping, spices mingling, joy happening. When we left, I still had a mouthful of dancing flavours doing the cha-cha.

Now, a tiny gripe (because no review is complete without one): despite the waiter popping back to our table multiple times, our empty glasses and bottles stayed put. Table space became… *creative*. Once the metal trays arrive, you’re playing culinary Tetris. Easily fixable, though.

Big bonus points for the **Mowgli Passport** — collect stamps at different restaurants and get £25 off after five. Genius. Dangerous, but genius.

Overall: beautiful setting, incredible food, great concept. I’ll 100% be back. Highly recommended for anyone who thinks, *“Ooooh, I fancy something tasty and different.”*
Spoiler: you do. Go.
