Glad we stopped in despite the numerous bad reviews. Staff were attentive and friendly. The cocktails weren’t the best, but the food was delicious. The brussel sprout starter was especially crispy and flavorful with bacon. The blackened salmon tasted really fresh in our salads. It can get quiet smoky inside, so keep that in mind. My eyes were burning near the end of our visit.

So, the interior is beautiful, but the food is not good. First of all, it took an hour to eat and the food they served was in the oven an hour I believe. My roasted catfish was black and burnt to the point it was hard. The chicken breast was hard and dry. The jump lump crab cakes was tough like biscuits and dressing only. We had to send the food back and get replacements. When asked about a discount they simply didn’t charge me for the first choices. I didnt eat it, of course you shouldn’t charge. This was a true disappointment as I was celebrating my sister’s birthday. She did not enjoy her birthday meal and I was not going to wait another 30 minutes for dessert. I won’t be back. It was too expensive for the quality of food. I don’t mind paying for food, but the quality should be worth it. My suggestion: hire new chefs. To present people with these dishes does not speak highly of your craft.

We had a last minute date night opportunity and tried Ludlow & Prime on a whim. What an incredibly pleasant surprise!
It’s very unassuming, located in the corner of s strip mall.
When you walk in, you’ll notice the vintage Victorian meets modern Nashville design.
We had a nice quiet table and our server, Jesse, was very attentive and gave us great suggestions!
Their menu is very New Orleans creole inspired with mostly Steak and Seafood options.
We started with the brussel sprouts and crawfish hush puppies, both were excellent.
Then we had the St Landry Parish Fire Roasted Catfish and the Blackened Red Snapper. Both dishes were fantastic.
When the apps and the entrees are that good, you have to try dessert. The Chocolate Lava Cake did not disappoint!
Very casual atmosphere, and the prices were very reasonable, especially with the quality of the food.
Ludlow & Prime was a last minute decision that really surprised us. Looking forward to going back soon!

Wood. Fired.

On a recommendation from the waitress, I added salmon to the spaghetti carbonara. Wonderful! The smokiness of the wood fired grill shines here and adds a broad stroke of flavor.

There are so many good options on the menu… We will be back!

Haven’t been here since before the pandemic and was curious if it was still as good as I remembered. Good news! It was! The chargrilled oysters were plump and delicious. The burrata salad with grilled shrimp was a surprisingly good combo that I put together. The sides of brussel sprouts and truffle parmesan fries were amazing as well. Our cocktails took a while because it was happy hour in the bar, but they were still yummy.

2nd time coming here and both times I’ve had AMAZING food and service! Christian is the man! I wasn’t sure what to get this time around and he recommended one of the specials (the filet) and I could not have been happier with that recommendation! Perfect place for a date, perfect place for a work dinner and perfect seating all around! If you’re ever in the Nashville area this place is a must!!

Edit: If your thinking desert I would definitely recommend the cheesecake! It’s very light and a great way to top off a nice meal!

Appetizers were good. Ordered a medium rare steak and half came well done(gray) and the other half came medium(just a little pink). Waitress tried to tell me that most was medium rare. It’s a bad steak resturant when your servers don’t know that medium rare is a warm pink center.

It happens some times. But usually you show it to a server, they apologize and bring you another one. That didn’t happen.

Had to ask for the side of potatoes that came with the meal several times.

Not impressed. It was just a bad experience. I was there with a large crowd. I’ll come back again to see if it was just a fluke.

The waitress did finally bring me a med rare steak and some potatoes, pictures attached.

Why 3 stars?

I don’t enjoy visiting a steakhouse in a strip mall, even in Brentwood but I will say that I was pleasantly surprised at the ambiance. I think that this place would be a nicer family dinner option.

The service was very slow. They served a $12 glass of champagne in a red wine glass. There were pieces of shell in every single oyster (we ordered a dozen).

My steak (filet) was delicious but over cooked. The salmon was not good. It was so smoky I thought it was beef jerky.

I think this place has potential and a good menu but is likely experiencing growing pains of a new restaurant. I would revisit in a few months and consider reviewing again.

Hot smoked salmon was TINY for the price. I have small hands and it was abt half the size of it. Both of our Lobster rolls were absolutely pathetic for the price, hardly filling half the roll.
Didn’t include gumbo we ordered. So disappointed for the amount we paid.

I loved the lighting and ambiance. Drinks and food came really fast. Everyone was friendly. I had the shrimp and grits . It was okay ( not the best I’ve had for $26. Not enough Grits and they tasted very grainy and was overwhelmed by the roux . Portions were really small. If i were on a diet they would have been perfect. I wish I had tried the steak.– my friends who ordered Steak seemed to be satisfied. However my co- worker that also ordered the Shrimp and grits felt the same way. We were still a little hungry afterwards . The deviled eggs were good but you only get 2 eggs and the Brussel sprouts were just a wee bit over cooked more than I would prefer. The small portions and grainy unflavored grits are the only reason I took 1 star away-
