My experience was great. After 2 failed meals from well-known Vegas strip restaurants, I finally got a well seasoned, perfectly cooked meal. I had the chicken and waffles with a side of smothered potatoes. And the ambiance and esthetics are nice.

This place is excellent. The BBQ is better than any in town and highly affordable than the other places that charge more for less. That sides that come with the meals are not small like many places and have a home cooked touch.
The menu is diverse which is not common anywhere in mid town. We have needed a place like this for a long time.
Better marketing and more visibility is all that’s needed to pump this place up into one of the best places in town to eat at.

Great Customer Service! Food was tasty and nice portion sizes. Some of the best Catfish I’ve had from a restaurant. Greens well seasoned. Candied yams delish and not overly spiced. Salmon croquettes were good also. Nice to have a good soul food place on this side of town. ( near UNLV). Nice menu variety as well. Looks like a good place to plan a private event as well.

Just like the brilliant idea to name this place the Mountain West Eatery, the food here simply does not exist. Maybe it’s a new form of marketing along the bait and switch line, only with no bait and no Mountain West Eatery employees. No tables. No electricity.
Perhaps they are taking a page out of Nobu’s book and going to the extreme. Of what? I have no clue, except for the clues that adorn the outside of the 30 foot north wall in the form of a menu.
They have salmon croquettes. Apparently. Not now, I don’t think but someday I’m sure salmon croquettes will make a happy diner elated. And everyone knows the secret to the Olive Garden’s success is, of course, elated guests. The Mountain West Eatery is on the right path.

Very delicious food, nice vibe, and the staff was very nice and personable. If you’re a local or visiting Vegas I highly recommend stopping by. The prices are very reasonable for the price. We had the Bihon canton noodles with shrimp & chicken, the red beans & rice, collard greens, fried chicken, and cornbread. Everything was finger licking good.

First time here. My wife & I came for breakfast @ 8:30 am. The executive chef was our host, server, etc. The music was awesome, a mix of motown & old R&B. We had biscuits & gravy, and shrimp & grits. Both, beyond excellent. Must come again.
