The pizza was a solid pizza. It has a decent crust, surprisingly good pepperoni, and a nice cheese blend. The sauce seemed to be a pretty standard canned pizza sauce, so not much to comment on there.
Now, the gyros were just kinda there. Points for the cubes of feta on there. I don’t normally see cheese on a gyro, it went well with it. I was mainly sad on the sauce. Normally, tzatziki is fresh, light, and balanced well with seasoning. This one both tasted and looked like a watered-down sour cream. The lamb was a little bland, but it was good enough.
I would have loved to have a bit more lettuce along with the diced tomato and red onion. I think this gyro was just lacking that normal level of freshness I look for and love in gyros. It wasn’t terrible, but it was pretty mid.
I have been informed that the cheese ravioli are pretty good, but they were all eaten before I could try one.
We got mocha latte, caramel macchiato latte and biscoff latte and they are delightful.
Thank you for an amazing experience.
Mountain Trail Grill & Pizza (inside the Glenstone Lodge) was absolutely amazing! The vibe, the food, and the service were outstanding. We tried the breaded garlic mushrooms, garlic knots, wings, pizza, and I had the Greek salad — truly the best Greek salad I’ve ever had, and the portion was HUGE. All the portions were so generous, which we loved.
Our server told me her name last night, but I can’t remember it — she still deserves the biggest shout-out. She was super sweet, had such a great personality, and made us feel completely taken care of. Even when my other two kids showed up near the end, she welcomed them warmly, and got their food out quickly. She seemed to be the only server that night with multiple tables and takeout orders, yet she handled everything flawlessly.
Another big plus: dinner hours were around 5pm–11pm, which helped us so much after a
long, rainy day. They also serve breakfast!
Highly recommend — this place is a gem and such a great spot to have right inside the hotel!
