Such a cute little coffee shop attached to a bizarre which was pretty cool. There’s lots of vintage books, action figures, G.I. Joe figures. The coffee was really good as well. Staff was super helpful friendly and amazing. Such a nice little hidden gem and a cute little quaint town. I would highly recommend stopping here and grabbing a coffee.

Don’t know about the coffee part of this shop, but the bookstore and record store are really good. Have some pretty good finds for Ellijay Georgia, hence the old punk band crass but the prices I get it. They like to price these records up a bit. But like I said really cool place. Great records. Great reading material as in the books, also action figures for sale as well and the employee was very knowledgeable to an extent about most of the records and artist always a plus. I will definitely be back to buy some of those records for sure .

The drinks definitely need some improvement, but the overall vibe of the place makes up for it. The cafe has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing or unwinding with a book. There’s a lot to look at, shelves full of interesting books, unique items, and small products that add charm to the space.

It’s the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time just browsing or enjoying the calm setting. With a bit of work on the drink menu, this could become a real hidden gem. Still worth visiting for the ambiance alone.

Great spot for unique coffee and a solid breakfast or lunch. We tried the Honeybear latte with almond milk, which was refreshing and flavorful, and the cinnamon roll latte with skim milk, which was just as delicious. The bagels were especially good, even though the sandwiches are premade. The space is bright, clean, and inviting, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Clean bathrooms were a plus. Bonus: there’s a cute bookstore attached that’s perfect for browsing while you wait. Would definitely return.

I’m a tea girly and I could’ve drank 5 of their iced teas today. My husband got the cold brew and said it was delicious. The biggest plus is that it’s attached to a bookstore that you can browse while you wait, and they have records too!

This was a true treasure of a find in the quaint downtown Ellijay. My friends and I wanted to stop for a coffee and the trip completely changed when we stopped here, in such a good way.

Mountain Town Coffee, or sometimes called the Ellijay CoffeeHouse, has a great vibe. There’s a back entrance and courtyard which we came through. The decoration is wacky- I don’t know how else to describe it. It’s old school and nostalgic but strange.

On the other side of the wall there’s an entire book store that is part of the business. It had one of the most impressive collections I’ve seen in a bookstore in awhile. It wasn’t huge but it had a great variety of genres, and a lot of intriguing titles I hadn’t heard of but sought to remember for later.

The man working the register was a charm- he told us how Ellijay has their own tv production (which they were playing on an old school tv), a special Bigfoot podcast and more.

Lastly, the coffee was, of course, delightful. I had a latte with a little bit of spice in it that was perfect to warm a person up in the cool early spring air when we were there. Had we known this would be such a cool stop I think we would have bargained even more time to just hang and enjoy the atmosphere. I think it could be a good place to sit and do work or read and there’s lots of spaces to sit so it’s not too loud.

Cute coffee shop to try in downtown Ellijay.
We popped in on a cold Fall day and found the space warm and inviting.
Latte was nice and frothy. Cookies were tasty.
The paninis look good but did not get to try.
There were different seating areas available and all looked comfortable and had their own unique vibe.
We will definitely come back to hang out.

I loved the atmosphere where it’s very homey and a bit on the antique side. The coffee is a bit different from what I’m used to but still good. There is plenty of seating available. The staff was nice. We bought soap which smells amazing.

I love this coffee shop! It’s off the main square and definitely worth a visit. There are three separate seating areas with slightly different vibes and they’re all cozy. I ordered the Frankenstein latte (a Halloween special, pistachio and brown sugar) and it was delicious! There are plenty of board games available to patrons and prices extremely reasonable, something you don’t see as often nowadays. The baristas are very friendly and quick for recommendations!
