I used to love Mountain Mike’s when I lived in Modesto. It was my favorite pizza joint. But ever since coming to Merced the experiences have been pretty bad. This last outing, which I picked up for my birthday lunch, was rough.

The salad bar was poorly stocked and missing many standards you’d see at other locations. The salad mix itself seemed old and wilted.

The pizza was *passable* but I came for a great pizza, not a just okay one.

The worst part was the Hot Mozzarella Sticks. These were awful. The Nashville seasoning had a good flavor and was spicy, but the cheese itself was bad and the texture was strange and crumbly, not at all what you want from a cheesestick. It felt gross in my mouth and we threw them out.

I will say that the service was very good and everyone was super friendly. I have nothing against the hard working staff that assisted me, but I think I’m done trying to pretend that Mountain Mike’s in Merced is ever going to be any good.

First time here. Was recommended by a friend who used to live in California. We were greated when we came in. Kam was great and recommended the McKinley since we were feeding 3 with preferences and food allergies. Pizza was amazing! Gave atmosphere a 4 because the staff was a rowdy bunch making noises and hollering. Didn’t bother me but bothered some others. I got a laugh from it which I needed. Thank you for the great food and service! Very appreciated during a sad day after visiting the location my husband died at 13 years ago. If I’m ever in California again I’ll stop by. Will visit the AZ location though.

Don’t even bother. This is the second time they said 20 or 25 minutes. I go to pick up my pizza after 30 minutes and I still sit there for 30 minutes. I will just drive to the Yosemite parkway location from now on.

This was how I received my pizza from delivery. I called to let them know that it looked like someone took a slice out. And the manger was rude and backed up her driver. I’ve ordered delivery many times and I’ve never received a pizza that looked like this. Idk it looks like a piece is missing. But maybe that’s just me. Don’t think I’ll be ordering delivery from here anymore.

We had our Christmas party there tonight and had a great time. There were about 35 people that came. They all ordered their own pizza either before or after they got there. They pizza was great and all the help was wonderful and helpful for our group. They even offered to take a group picture for us that turned out great. Everyone had a good time. Thank you Merced Mountain Mike’s for letting us have our party there. It’s hard to find a place for a large group.

Used a coupon to get a family meal to go. The pizza is loaded with meat and kids love it. They have TVs, so waiting isn’t boring.

I’m sorry to have to give a star. I am clearly disabled and I have been since I was 10. I have a well trained, well behaved, well groomed service dog. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old and she has saved my life my times then I can count. She goes everywhere, and I mean everywhere with me, court, hospital, etc. I go into this restaurant and the cashier tells me I can’t have my dog in there. I answered, “Yes, I can, she is my service animal.” My husband goes in there and orders $40. In food and she says to my husband, ” Are you with her?” In a really disrespectful way. He tells her he is and she tells him we need to sit by the door. I ordered a salad, so I want to sit by the salad bar, away from the others eating in there, also. So, another lady comes out and tells me I can’t have my dog in there. I tell her she is my service animal, she even has her tag on. So, she tells me we need to sit by the front door, where most of the other people are sitting, and I would have to walk by other guests to get my salad. I told her that sounds like discrimination to me. We got a refund and left. They were totally rude, the grip of them and it really embarrassed me. Like, I walked out crying, because they didn’t even take me to the side to talk quietly to me, she chose to blast it, instead, in front of the other customers, Hella loud.

They will hear from my lawyer.
Can I Ask about the Service Dog

When a service animal comes into your establishment, it’s acceptable to inquire whether the animal is indeed a necessary service animal if it is not plainly marked and what the specific function the service animal performs. That’s it. Your staff cannot judge whether or not the animal is necessary, nor can they ask the customer to furnish documentation, perform the task or inquire about the customer’s disability. Certification paperwork is not required and there’s a cottage industry of websites, which charge money for unneeded paper certifications.

Where Can a Service Dog Walk In a Restaurant?

Service animals are there to provide additional accessibility.  This means they must be allowed to move through any public space your customers usually have access to including salad bars, buffets, and food service lines.

Anyone care to guess what’s wrong with this pizza?
If you think I’m a Karen, I don’t care, but this is SUPPOSED have diced tomatoes, not sloppily chopped, sliced and burnt tomatoes. It’s already bad enough that they forgot to add my drink when I SPECIFICALLY asked for it, but THIS is unprofessional and lazy as hell. I’m not eating this.
