I’m honestly shocked at how this location is being operated. I walked in on a Saturday night to pick up my pizza, and while waiting I saw multiple kids and random people walking in and out of the back where the pizzas are being made. Some of them were even carrying children.

The teens working the register were polite and helpful, so this isn’t about them. What’s disturbing is that management appears to allow people who clearly do not work there to be in the food prep area. That’s a serious hygiene and safety concern when you’re preparing food for paying customers.

This is something that absolutely needs to be addressed.

Great pizza and excellent service. The manager was awesome and came over to talk with us, which made the experience even better. Customer service was friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back.

When I order my pizza at the new Mountain Mike’s in Manteca. The cook has a long beard, which was not cover. I believe this is unsanitary. Food & Healthcare: Regulations ofter mandate beard nets (beard restraints) ta prevent hair from contaminating food or sterile environments, as hair can carry microbes. None of them in the back had their hair cover.

Not off to a good start for the new mountain mikes.

We came in at 930am on a saturday for pizza. I understand 930am is early for pizza, but they open at 9am so I assume that means they are ready for business at 9am. Wrong. We walk in and all TV’s are off, including menu TV behind register. Thats not a big deal, so we use the laminated menu by the register. We order a medium pepperoni, soda, and salad bar for two. The employee hands us our plates, we turn to the salad bar and all the lids are still on and not accessible. Ok, no problem. We go over to the fountain drink machine, and theres no ice. At this point, im irritated. I ask the employee if theres ice, she sais no.

That was the point I decided I no longer was interested in pizza from this location. Id rather just go somewhere that is open and ready for business when business hours begin. I ask for a refund, she looks at me befuddled as if its not clear why I would ask for that. Finally, after giving her a full breakdown of why (see above) she turns to her colleague in the back and begins speaking in another language. He comes out from the back and sais he will go get ice. I said its too late for that. I told them im sure they are nice people and make good food and will eventually get their opening routine down as they are a new restaurant, but im no longer interested in eating there at that moment.

She then tells me they cant refund my order because the manager is not present and will be arriving shortly. Ok, thats fine, please just refund it when she arrives, and i ll take my receipt. Three hours later, I call down to the restaurant to verify my refund has been processed. Im aware it can take a few days to show up on my account, so im just looking for a confirmation it was processed. She tells me the manager still isn’t in and will be there in 5 minutes. I check later that night, and the refund was processed.

I was never told sorry for the experience, let us make it right by offering you some form of courtesy like a free drink (not necessary but could have at least made the situation less painful).

I don’t forsee myself returning to this location. With how many pizza spots there are in manteca, and how expensive mountain mikes is now ($45 for a medium pizza, salad, and a drink) im better off taking my business elsewhere.
