Well I’ll always love Mountain Mike’s food for its always consistent and yummy. What I do mind is paying far to much for it. The Mountain Mike’s in Montclair is so expensive! $18 for a mini pizza and small soda . I had also wanted a salad bar and asked the price I was floored when she told me $11.99!! If I’d gotten the salad it would have come to $29.99 (not including tip). Not to mention when I got my food she dropped my pizza on the table in a box (I had told her I was eating in) and all other customers had their pizza served to them on a pizza pan ‍♀️.

I felt as if I was a nuisance!! There were no napkins, no parm. cheese, dirty pepper shaker on my table. Needless to say I won’t be back.

I’ll stick to Round Table in Alameda where I can get a small pizza and a drink for $12.99. And the salad bar for $4.99! Don’t go here it’s not worth the money!

These folks are incredibly nice and make a great pizza- I know Mtn mikes is technically a franchise, but this particular location really puts a lot of effort into their food, their customer service, their timeliness, and the cleanliness of the restaurant (which I hope to eat in one day since I’ve only ever picked up / had pizza delivered from here). On the phone, they have weathered my inane, annoying, and sometimes irrelevant chattery with grace and kindness. I believe this is a family run franchise too- I alarmed the owner by taking photos of the place (sorry about that)!! I could tell that they work very hard at what they do, and as for what they do, they do it well- the pizza we ordered tonight was probably ten times better than the one we received from lanesplitter a few weeks ago. What I’m saying is, is that no matter the institution, if you are hardworking and dedicated to what you’re doing, the results will show the proof. There’s a lot of places with technical advantages that can’t swing as hard as these folks. Thanks for being around, and thank you for making good consistent pizza! And sorry again for creepily snapping these photos of your restaurant!

Stars can’t accurately rate my experience at…this institution. If i could, I would rate this a 0 out of 5. No stars. We received a half half 10” small pizza that wasn’t what we ordered.
When we brought up the issue of the wrong order we were met with a face of disdain. He told us WE were wrong and we had to go back to our seat and dive into our pizza that wasn’t what we wanted. Then, we halfheartedly picked up a slice only to find a little pube hair sticking out of the cheese. I wish I could say I was joking. To further push my point, we also received a cookie pizza. We ordered this to try to elevate our mood but were instead met with a cookie that would fail to even crack a smile on Gordon Ramsey’s face. It was burnt. The chocolate was not only sparse but very unappetizing. The people that were in the kitchen didn’t have anything to cover their hair which is not up to Food Safety Standards. They did however have entertaining TV. Please check your slices before indulging. Stay safe out there.

Located in the heart of Montclair Village street in Oakland, CA, Mountain Mike’s Pizza serves some of the best pizza that I’ve ever had with my homies. We were playing tennis down at the Montclair Park along the street and were looking for a good food place to eat and decided to try out this new pizza place.

When we walked in, there was not too long of a line to order for pizza. There’s plenty of TV’s to watch sports with friends or news to eat along with your pizza. Also has gender neutral restrooms that are very clean. After going to the front to order a Large Traditional Combination (McKinley) Pizza, I noticed that they also have a All-You-Can-Eat lunch buffet time only for $9.99 with unlimited pizza, bread sticks, and salads.

The pizza took about 15 minutes to come out and it was hot and fresh. Lots of seatings by the TV’s to watch on all sides. The large pizza was very filling and was able to fill three to four adults. Kept very nice and the person that helped us order was very kind. Will come back for a pizza fix

We placed an online order yesterday evening for two pizzas. Unfortunately, there was no option to leave a note with special requests, so we called the restaurant right after placing the order to ask for one of the pizzas without cheese, as we have a vegan friend.

We clearly said that if it wasn’t possible, we’d happily cancel and order somewhere else. The person on the phone assured us that it was no problem at all and that the pizza would definitely come without cheese.

When the pizzas arrived, both had cheese.

We called again to explain the situation, but the staff was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help. They told us there was nothing they could do and that they wouldn’t send a replacement. During the conversation, they even hung up on us mid-discussion, which felt incredibly disrespectful.

As a result, our vegan friend was left without anything to eat and had to settle for random leftovers from our fridge, which was really disappointing for everyone and definitely ruined the mood.

We wouldn’t have minded if they had told us upfront that the request wasn’t possible—but to promise it, then get it wrong, and then treat us like that afterwards?
Definitely not ordering from here again.

Pizza is very good, very friendly staff, surprisingly good beer, selection, poured in a nice tall & cold glass

Probably better to get Pizza to go here though, only reason they are not getting five stars

Specifically called aheas to see if they had a lunch buffet, was specifically told they did, and came in to find out they had lied and absolutely do not (had a salad bar, no pizzas out, none came out the entire time we stayed and ate the pizza we had to order)

No parmersian or crushed red pepper shakers for dine in, only packets

No silverware for dine in, only disposable plastic

Does NOT accept cash (especially frustrating when the meters outside are partially broken and only take quarters)

Enjoy the good pizza in the comfort of your own home, definitely the way I would recommend it for next time

I would give zero stars if possible!

I placed an order with specific instructions that were completely ignored. When I called the restaurant to address the issue, I was dismissed and hung up on mid-call — incredibly rude and unprofessional. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled shows a complete lack of respect for customers. I won’t be ordering from here again. If you care about being treated decently and getting what you actually ordered, look elsewhere.

Pizza is exactly what you think it will be… basically Roundtable (garbage). Their wings are fine but it’s a crime to call them buffalo wings as they don’t taste anything like buffalo wings and they serve it with ranch dressing.
