We ate at Mountain Dick’s Pizza at Jay Peak twice, and that ought to tell you just about everything you need to know.

When you’ve been out on the mountain all day—legs cooked, faces wind-burned, patience run thin—you don’t want a whole song and dance. You want something fast, warm, and dependable. Dick’s is exactly that. Easy in, easy out. No fuss. No convincing. Just the kind of place you can roll into, grab what you need, and keep moving.

And the best part? The kids absolutely housed it. No bargaining. No “I’m not hungry.” No complaints. Just wolves at the table, tearing through slices like they hadn’t eaten in a week. For a family with three boys, that’s not a small win—it’s the win.

It’s not trying to be some fancy lodge meal or a big culinary moment. It’s pizza that does its job: quick, filling, kid-approved, and perfect for the pace of a ski trip when you’re trying to maximize time and minimize drama. If you want an easy, reliable stop at Jay, this is a good one to keep in your back pocket.

We weren’t staying at the resort but when we searched pizza near me (Westfield) we found this place. Wasn’t difficult to find, once you park and walk up the ramp to the side entrance from outside the hotel.
We were 2nd in line, Lin moved quickly and our food was ready in 17 min (maybe 15 )
We weren’t staying far so food was still hot when we arrived, didn’t expect red onion but it was perfect. The buffalo chicken wrap was a flavored warps and I did t expect the bag of chips, nice. It was $38 for a large 2 topping, and the wrap. If we are back in the area and staying this close to Jays peak we’d come here for pizza again.
Scored low on atmosphere only because it was a small dining area, maybe it’s more take out than eat in since we were too.

So, I live in Jay and we used to frequent Mountain Dicks, but I just had the worst pizza. Extremely dried out. I had to get a microscope out to find the toppings I paid extra for. Like literally 2 tiny pieces of chicken, and maybe 7 olive *slices* and a few onion pieces for $27. The employees were friendly and that was the only positive vibe going on. Go to Hoagies in North Troy, way better pizza and value and the pizza is freshly made!

The only redeeming part of this entire ordeal was Carson, the cashier — genuinely the coolest guy in the building. Polite, friendly, and trying his absolute best while the rest of the operation falls apart around him. I’d hire him tomorrow.

Everything else? A complete disaster.

The pizza tasted exactly like underfunded school cafeteria pizza — my daughter called it immediately. The chicken fingers were even worse: dry, flavorless, and cooked with the enthusiasm of someone counting the minutes until their shift ends. And despite all that mediocrity, they have the nerve to never answer the phone. Calling ahead is an illusion; you’re shouting into the void.

And the final insult?
It cost FIFTY-ONE DOLLARS.
For food this bad, that price borders on performance art.

Mountain Dick Pizza is the place you go only when everywhere else is closed, sold out, or buried under a snowbank. If you’re coming to Jay Peak, pack dinner, bring snacks, order a pizza from two towns over — anything but this.

The food blows, the service is worse (again, except Carson), and the bill will make you angry all over again.

Carson deserves hazard pay.

I have eaten pizza all across this nation, and as far as the plain cheese served here I would rate it as a 2.5 star out of 5. It’s not bad just not great, as it lacks almost any real flavor. Both the cheese and sauce are lackluster. The meat lovers pizza is good and would give it a rating of 3.5 out of 5. Overall I do believe that it is overpriced for the size and quality of the pizza, (in fairness the remoteness of the shop may partially justify the cost) the staff were nice and it’s a cool little restaurant space. Overall I would skip. Not bad not great.

Not too bad for mountain pizza. I am a pizza cook and I must say it was pretty delicious. The pizza cook there was very friendly to conversate with. I think his name was Sean.

After a day of snowboarding, skiing, ice skating, or water park fun, the pizza is quick and tasted good, which is all you can want and expect from a resort restaurant. I wouldn’t just go to Jay to eat there but it’s good when you are already there…

Very limited dining options in Jay Peak Resort. This is a small pizza place. The pizza was dismal. Cardboard-like thin flavorless crust with some sauce and cheese. Cleanliness was lacking. The options for food were limited. Pasta was probably the safest bet.

Nice thin crust pizza, made fresh (20 minutes) with ample toppings. Accessible from the stairs to the Tram and from 1st floor of Hotel Jay. $20 for a large 16” pizza. A serve yourself type joint with about 8 tables.

Pizza is terrible, tastes like cardboard even with toppings. Salad is lazy and mostly old lettuce. Owner needs to step it up.
