My husband and I along with my borherinlaw and girlfriend stayed at the Sleep Motel which is right next door to this little gem. We had salted caramel ice cream one evening which is made in house. And was probably one of the best ice creams I’ve ever had. Definitely a must try. Then on the day of our departure we had breakfast sandwiches on hand made croissants which were huge. I had the ham and eggs with havarti and pepper jelly!! The ham is cured in house it was amazing as well. Love these kinds of places that take pride in all of the food they serve. If your in this area please give it a try you won’t be disappointed!!

My husband and I decided to try this place out yesterday . The food we ordered is so simple yet surprisingly so good!. Our waitress Broke that served us is kind. This place only accepts cash!, if you didn’t bring cash there is an ATM machine inside. Also, the ice cream is the best we ever tried!.

A must visit place! We met the owners son (Ben) at their farmstand, he was very friendly and recommended we visit the restaurant. The next morning we showed up and had an amazing breakfast. You could taste the freshness in the food. I had the apple omlette, very delicious! It had maple sausage and Vermont cheddar! The cheese was the type of cheese you want on an omlette! I also had it with the rye bread they make on Burlington with the raspberry jam, sooo damn good. My husband had pancakes. I had a bit of his pancakes and omg they were both fluffy and nice and crispy and buttery on the outside! It filled us to the point it held us for our 7 mile hike lol A good country town vibe i loved it! Will definitely be visiting next time!

A must stop for breakfast if you are in the area. Homey vibe, great food, and friendly service. Haven’t tried the lunch yet but the menu looks great. Breakfast and lunch menus both include vegetarian options. I can’t wait to come back to try the pie and ice cream!

Had lunch upstairs. Lunch itself was good. The waitress was no nonsense in a very new England type of way. She let me know she was the boss, and I kinda liked it.

Clam chowder so thick you could eat with a fork.

But the DESSERTS! mile high apple pie. With 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. If that doesn’t make you happy then I don’t know what will.

What a cozy, classic diner. Pancakes, omelettes, coffee: all top notch. Absolutely love the atmosphere in places like this, and it was a little highlight of our roadtrip before a long day of driving.

Whenever I am up in Vermont I try to stop by here for breakfast. Their food is consistently delicious and hot. The two things I’d recommend the most are their muffins — literally the best — and to try their ice cream. It’s very creamy and delicious. Everything else I get here is just a bonus. Their pancakes are also good and so are their omelettes. No matter what you do you can’t go wrong. The waitstaff are always kind and attentive, no matter how busy they are. Always a pleasure to visit this place and I recommend it to anyone I know is visiting the area.

Be aware this place is cash only. They do have an ATM. Sometimes they get very busy so you may have to wait to be seated. It is worth it! They also have paintings hanging around the building that are available for purchase — they’re also cash only, so be prepared if that’s something you may want to buy.

Love the food and the vibe of this place! Every time I visit I am reminded of how much I enjoy this place. I have enjoyed a few birthday breakfasts here. Service has been great even when there is only when server and many tables full.

All 4 in our party agreed on the one star rating.

The place is a bit dirty and run down looking, the staff- while attentive – were not especially friendly, ( an older woman, who was working harder than either of the other wait staff being the exception) especially to one of the children in our party.

One waitress could be seen eating in a food prep area and complaining about customers coming in while she ate, as she was unable to eat her food.

It was a peak business time, so perhaps in the future she may want to schedule her needs appropriately, I mean, honestly, is she there to work or eat ?

It took 35 minutes to get served. My home fries tasted old and my eggs were runny, the girls enjoyed niether their pancakes or their french toast, but liked the hot cocoa.

All in all an unpleasant dining experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend avoiding this establishment.

Really good breakfast I had here last week. Passed by many times but never stopped in, wish I did! Ice cream was delicious and the service was very good. Next time trying lunch! Enjoy.
