I recently ate at Mountain Bites and it really reminded me of the food in Kathmandu!

I started with the Jhol Momo. It was just like the momo I used to get on the streets of Nepal. The dumplings were soft, and the spicy broth was perfect. It tasted just like home!

Then, I had the Chicken Chowmein. It tasted like the local chowmein you find in Kathmandu—nice and tasty with a good amount of chicken. It wasn’t too oily, which was great!

Lastly, the Chatpate was awesome. It tasted exactly like the street food I used to snack on in Nepal. Spicy, crunchy, and sour—just how I love it!

Overall, if you’re craving real Nepali food, this place is spot on. It made me feel like I was back in Kathmandu. Highly recommend it!

Located inside Centaur Food and Fuel, it is tough to find at first. I ordered chicken Tika masala and paneer vindaloo with garlic Naan. I requested one order of yellow saffron rice AND basmati rice, but instead, I was given a large basmati rice. My receipt does say basmati under both dishes so maybe he didn’t hear me correctly.

Overall quality isn’t bad, but for the same price there are tastier Indian food spots, but this is a very small spot inside the gas station and does not have a large kitchen. It is good enough, however. The Naan is pretty average, and the spice level of the food is normal. I ordered medium, and I’ve eaten at TONS of different Indian restaurants, and this is properly spiced. Some people may have a different idea of what medium spice is, which may be too hot for them, but for context, I am generally a wimp with spicey food. The medium is spicey, but certainly not intolerable, although the vindaloo i received is spicier than the tikka masala. The Tikka masala was standard quality for average Tikka masala, and the vindaloo was different than vindaloos I’ve had at other spots. This particular recipe has A LOT more garam masala in it, but that’s okay because it is good enough. Given the location and quality, I feel like they should come down in price, but they charge the same as a nice Indian restaurant, so I won’t be returning to this location for Indian food. For the two dishes, Naan, rice and mango lassi drink plus tip, I paid $55. Service was good and fast with carry out.

Incredible food! It’s just in a gas station store, so not atmospheric, but oh my God, it’s so good. Perfect flavor profile on the samosas, freshly fried and hot, amazing texture and inner color, and the sauces were amazing. The tamarind, I think, was amazing, and mint chutney was fabulous.

So delicious!! Our meal was so tasty and great portions with lots of chicken. Really good thin cuts of chicken too to maximize flavor. New favorite place!!!!

Biryani is not very sweet raita It’s broken. What are you trying to do by sending such unsavory food? After paying, you get paid to eat something sweet, so try to give something sweet. I am very sorry for sending such a bland biryani.

Don’t let the location deter you!! I have been impressed with my food every single time! The spice level is always perfect and the chicken is always tender. I could live on their food! I’m not sure how this place has received the 2 bad reviews I read, because I’ve never thought the food was anywhere near bland and the sauces are rich and creamy. And I’ve eaten here A LOT lol, becoming an obsession!

Not the kinda guy that likes writing bad reviews (I feel sorry for the establishment, even if the experience wasn’t good). But… here is my honest assessment of my experience.
This is a small eatery inside a convenience store by the gas station, so I wasn’t expecting much. But this was below my already low expectations. Tables were Very dirty (see photos). Very overpriced food. $20 for a vegetarian dish is more than what I pay at nice Indian restaurants for the very same dish. Including tax and a small tip (which I included even if service wasn’t good and tables weren’t waited), I paid over $24 for a saag paneer and white rice (which wasn’t fresh).
Have no idea how there are some positive reviews on this place. Perhaps it wasn’t like this always?
If management reads this, I hope they make a change. This could be way better.

Not really sure how to rate this place because it’s not a restaurant and it seems to be new and still figuring it out, so I don’t want to be to down, but it’s in a gas station. The momos I had were really good but not the burrito and it took 30+ minutes to get my food.

Very good food and great portions!

I was a little surprised that this was inside a gas station but that didn’t really matter because the food was great. I got a chicken tikka masala with naan.
The flavor was good and I got a LOT of naan.

I will be coming back here again and recommend giving it a try.
