I ordered some veg biriyani and was amazed! Cooked fantastically and tasted amazing. Both the rice and curry were flavourful and had a rich taste. Would definitely try it again. Next time I’m heading into the restaurant to eat in.

Ordered from here for the first time today. Everything was delicious and seemed maybe a little more authentic than the usual British Indian cuisine.
A little more expensive than some local Indian takeaways and I was expecting the chicken biriani to come with curry sauce or vegetable curry but this wasn’t included for some reason.
I’d definitely order from here again and I’m interested to try more items from the menu.

Food is beautiful but the potion sizes are very small to other places was not even to the top of the box as a brand new customer you should try to impress new customers to keep them , improve the potion sizes and it will be the best place in Lancaster as the food tastes beautiful

Very disappointing. Ordered a korma, tikka masala, plain naan, chips and poppadoms. The korma was incorrect and they gave us a spicy curry that I’m unable to eat. The tikka masala had 6 bits of chicken in. They gave us a cheese naan rather than a plain one and one poppadoms that was soggy and stale. Won’t be using them again.

We were very disappointed with the experience we had at Mount Spice. We were visiting Lancaster for a university reunion and 7 of us decided to get a takeaway together from here the night before, as a treat. We spent £123 and, based on the reviews, looked forward to our food but it ended up a disappointing evening.
When we arrived to collect it at the allocated time, it was as if the place was shut and they weren’t expecting us. We said we’d come back in a few minutes when they promised it would be ready but when we returned, it was a further 15 minutes of waiting.
Once we got the curry home, we realised there were several incorrect items: two fish curries instead of one fish and one lamb; 3 plain parathas instead of a plain, garlic and pashwari naan (we’d paid more for naans); 5 rices but we only received 3. It was too late to return, we were all hungry and the children had to eat and go to bed.
The food itself was delicious – really good quality and we can’t complain about the flavours. We are just disappointed in the service and the lack of communication that our order wouldn’t be what we’d paid for. There wasn’t any kind of offer of a refund or additional dishes to make up for the inconvenience and overpayment.

Absolutely delicious. Our first order and blown away with how fresh and tasty it was. Also, best onion bhajis we’ve ever had. Fast and polite delivery too. Highly recommended.

Excellent food. We got the very tasty garlic wedges and the chicken momo. Really good portion sizes. Lovely to have a takeaway in Lancaster that offers some different and new dishes to standard Indian takeaway.
The smaller dishes are reasonably priced and we like getting a few and having tapas style.
I spoke to the wonderful staff and they are so gracious and generous. They could really use some reliable drivers so if you know anyone who needs some extra work and are reliable, send them their way.
