Sal Sayed
I visited Mount Sinai Sushi and had a mixed but overall acceptable experience, with strengths in food presentation and cleanliness, and clear areas for improvement in service.

Food
The sushi was fresh and visually appealing, especially the specialty rolls. We tried multiple rolls, including salmon- and avocado-forward options, rolls topped with fish roe, and several house and special rolls listed on the menu boards. The quality was consistent and portions were fair, though nothing stood out as exceptional or memorable. Overall, the food was solid and satisfying but not a destination-level experience.

Menu clarity
One positive is that the menu is very detailed and clearly laid out, including printed menus and handwritten boards for daily specials. Ingredients are well described, which makes it easier to understand what you’re ordering and helps guests make informed choices. Vegetarian dishes are clearly labeled on the menu, even though the overall vegetarian selection is limited.

Service
Service was the weakest part of the experience. Interactions felt brief and transactional, with limited verbal engagement. Communication over the phone was also challenging, and basic customer-service cues such as acknowledgments and closing remarks were inconsistent. While orders were completed correctly, the service style may feel uncomfortable for guests who value clear, friendly communication.

Atmosphere & seating
The restaurant is quiet and calm, making it easy to talk. Seating is indoors only, with a combination of tables and counter seating. The space feels casual and functional rather than modern or upscale, which fits the neighborhood sushi spot vibe.

Cleanliness & restroom
A standout positive was the bathroom cleanliness. The restroom was very clean and well maintained, with a noticeably pleasant, fresh smell. This is always appreciated and reflects good attention to hygiene.

Payment & pricing
$190 for 7-8 rolls was very high as they increased their price. This is the same order I used to pay around $110 approximatelty for. One important note: American Express is not accepted. The restaurant accepts Visa and other major cards, and there is a 10% discount for cash payments, which is clearly posted.

Parking
Parking is generally available in the area, though availability can vary depending on time of day. Plan accordingly during peak hours.

Kid-friendliness & accessibility
The restaurant is suitable for small groups and families. The layout appears wheelchair accessible, with no stairs at the entrance and enough space to navigate inside.

Summary
Mount Sinai Sushi offers clean surroundings, clear menus, and dependable sushi at somewhat fair prices. While the food is good, service consistency and communication are areas that could be improved. It’s a reasonable local option if you’re nearby, especially if you appreciate a quiet setting and clearly explained menu items.

Delicious food and friendly service. The Kabuki roll is amazing. I eat from here a few times a week and am never disappointed. The chefs make the best sushi rolls with the freshest sushi I’ve ever had. The waitresses and cashiers provide a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It takes away the feeling of stress I have at that time. This is a great way to end my busy day.
