This place is in the town from mine. I love bbq so I am determined to try all of the bbq places near me. I got the the burnt ends, sausage, hush puppies, Brunswick stew and sweet potato fries. The burnt ends were good with the sauce but salty without it. The sausage was good along with everything else. The price was $25.00 for the combo. The service was good. I have no complaints.

Came in for early dinner on a Saturday at around 5. We were seated without a wait. Our waitress came over right away and took our drink order and offered us several suggestions about menu items. She was very friendly and attentive for our entire meal. Wife had the brisket sandwich with hush puppies as a side and I had the wings. Everything was served hot, quickly and tasted great. Hush puppies were some of the best we have had. They offer a good selection of can beer and wine. Restaurant, including restrooms were clean. Over all was a pleasant meal and we would eat here again if in the area.

The meats, burnt ends brisket & pork were Delicious. Potato salad Delicious, Onion Rings Delicious; the Hush Puppies were really overcooked; dark dark brown and real hard exterior; not good for Man with minimal teeth. ☹️ tasty inside though. I just wish they weren’t almost burned. ☹️Very Friendly Woman behind the Counter & the other gals were busy cleaning. Thank You Smoke House. We come from afar for Your Delicious BBQ! But Please; don’t serve overcooked Hush Puppies. I want my Man to enjoy them too Oh yeah, & the Texas Toast was Very Good!!

Drove from Albemarle to eat here. Of course went at the wrong time. Very large table of kids who where very load. Not the restaurants fault at all. Ordered pulled pork plate. Pork had a mushy texture, baked potato was slightly warm so once I added the hard butter it was cold. Onion rings were good. No I did not tell anyone because I was never asked how our food was or if we needed anything. Only asked if we needed more drinks.

The corn nuggets were good . But my candy burger was cooked to the point whew it had 0 moisture. When I asked about it being cooked differently I was told they cant do that for legal reasons. My hushpuppies were fried hard ans so were my sweet potato fries .. I won’t be going back

Great brisket sandwich. Meat was moist and Smokey. Didn’t need sauce but I’m a condiment junkie. Sweet sauce was like none that I could compare it to. my buddy said best hamburger she has had in NC, this burger was topped with brisket. As you can see in the pictures it is piled high. Ya sure get your money’s worth. Waitress was knowledgeable and friendly and the food came quicker than I expected. Clean place and the prices were unexpectedly very reasonable. Gonna try the pork next trip. You can’t go wrong by stopping here!

Stopped by today, and I’m so glad I did. Ordered the Mount Pleasant Cheesteak ( brisket, caramelized onions and cheese on a hoagie roll) with Mac & cheese and a drink. All for $15!! ……. 10 out of 10 absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned so that your full when your done. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Clean environment. Run, don’t walk and go get this sandwich!!

Lacking!! the slaw doesn’t even taste homemade anymore! I wasn’t impressed anymore then the first time I visited the decoration/vibe hasn’t changed since it opened I’d like to see some thought and money put back into the place! Shame with mt.Pleasant on the up and up I hope they can stay with the times!

My wife and I were in town from Va for couple of days and we ate here twice. I food was great and very good. my wife tried the corn nuggets. what a great treat very good and a little sweet in taste. the brisket was cooked to perfection. the sides we had were also great. service was fast and friendly. the whole place was very clean. we will be back in the area later and this will be our go to place. also had burgers on the second visit they were just as good. you will not go hungry and feel like you our at home.
