The quality of this establishment, their food, and their service is indicative of the Penny artwork they have hanging on their walls that they clearly purchased from the local thrift shop. The norm apparently for this restaurant is to wait an hour and a half for a sandwich and 20 minutes to pour a beer on draft. The fried chicken sandwich was unseasoned and tasted of nothing but fryer oil and yet was still dry. If I were forced to give the food a positive adjective, I’d say it was hot. The highest quality thing about this restaurant was the to-go container they had to put my food in due to them being unable to provide my food in an appropriate and normal time. Given the variety of restaurants available in the area I’d avoid this place in the same fervor they avoided giving me my food.

My first time here was last night. It had a fun vibe, nice servers and bartender. There was a wait but we could sit at the bar. The food was good but not amazing. Spinach artichoke dip was good. The creole pasta was delicious but very greasy. I poured off 1/4 cup of fat from my leftovers at home. The only other issue was that the woman bartender was great, but then halfway through our meal a guy who I assume worked there came behind the bar and made himself a drink while loudly conversing with the other bartender. He was right in front of us, ruining our conversation and loudly cracking jokes and having a personal conversation. It wasn’t a huge deal but it was annoying. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I ate at a table, so perhaps that’s my fault. The cocktails were great and not watered down, and the beer selection good. A good spot if you like a lively vibe.

Great gastro pub (if that’s still a thing). Good selection of beers on tap. The onion soup was delish and I think only $7. The burger and fries were also very good. I heard the Caesar salad with a salmon added on was very good too. Very enjoyable casual night with great food. Nice servers too. Check it out.

Friendly staff, great service, huge portion sizes at great prices! The food came out hot and everything was delicious. I definitely needed to go boxes! The food came out hot and everything was delicious. I definitely needed to go boxes and a bag for my leftover goodies.

I arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and was surprised by the indoor and outdoor size. Driving by, it appears to be small. However, there is ample seating inside and out.

There were many families that dined that night and after a couple of hours the family crowd thinned out and more mature patrons came in for dinner and libations.

I met 4 people at the door of another neighborhood restaurant and bar that happened to be closed and they told me about this hidden gem. I’m glad they did and I’ll definitely return.

I took 1 star off because the kitchen is upstairs, so I couldn’t see it; however, I would still recommend you check it out! The main area and lavatories are very clean and welcoming.

Great burgers, good steak and salmon. Nice range of beverage choices. With dietary restrictions, the kitchen is flexible to substitute foods I can eat. Portions are pretty big – I’m always sated-plus when I leave. It’s easy to get to… and, I go regularly.

We recently discovered Mount Airy Taproom and ended up coming here twice in one week. The beer list is extensive, the atmosphere is laidback, and the bartenders are friendly. I also appreciate that there is a fair bit of diversity in terms of the patrons and staff, which is hard to find outside of center city Philly most of the time. In terms of the food, I would give it a 4 out of 5, but there are a lot of options to choose from, which is nice. This place has a great neighborhood bar feel to it and I would probably be here all the time if I lived a bit closer!

Definitely one of the best Onion soups I’ve had!! Everything we have ever ordered was delicious! Never disappointed!! Parm Truffle fries, fried zucchini, fried brussels are a must, the sauce is so good. The drinks are great also!! Not expensive either!! Great local place tucked away for the locals!!

This is a very nice place to eat at!! I tell you, they have the best Mac & Cheese I ever had after all of my life time. I don’t know how they do it, but it is such an outstanding taste to take you on a flavor adventure. I mean this place should be so much more popular for their Mac & Cheese. The waitors and waitresses are extremely nice. Such a great reasonable atmosphere. I would tell my friends and family about this place.

This is a neighborhood bar. I’ve watched people walk in and greet others as they look for a seat at the bar or head to the dining area. The vibe is very relaxed, making this a good option if you want to grab a drink and chill. The food is OK at best. I’ve ordered the fish and chips and, on a different occasion, the portobello mushroom burger. The former was heavy on the batter and the fries were average. The latter was very vinegary, which is definitely not what I’d expect of this kind of dish; it overpowered the other ingredients. Just drink and be merry.
