You never know if a place is going to be good until you try them. This was my first and last visit to this place. First off their hours on Google maps said they were open until 8pm but we arrived at 5:45 pm and they were closing at 6 pm. Since we never had eaten here we had couple questions but the staff ignored us for the most part to eager to close to answer our questions. We almost left to eat somewhere else but we had our hearts set of BBQ but our hearts got broken. I ordered BBQ chicken I got grilled chicken and had to add my BBQ sauce from a bottle on the table. The man who prepared our meats chopped up my friends pork BBQ. I don’t eat pork but the man chopped my chicken with the same clever without cleaning off the pork my chicken had pork throughout the chicken that I had to pick out and had to leave about 1/3 of my chicken on the plate contaminated with pork making it inedible for me. The meats were very very dry to point that taking a bite with out pouring BBQ on it would choke you. Not only was the food not worth it but the service was seriously lacking maybe simply because it was closing time and tired people were ready to leave. I wish we would have left and ate somewhere else lesson learned we know we won’t ever eat at this place again maybe my honest review will save some poor unsuspecting soul a bad experience.

Went to try the buffet. The hash was room temp. The rice was crunchy. I’ve been in here about an hour hoping they change it out but haven’t. Tables are dirty and the restaurant has been dead since I got here. I haven’t been here in years and am really disappointed. The sweet tea is really good.

Worst bbq sandwich ever. Tall guy gave the driest piece of pork ever. Paid for jumbo but no where near wat should be called JUMBO. No one was welcoming. 1st and last.

Probably the best barbeque place on the Georgia side of the CSRA, when you take into consideration, selection, price and taste. It’s nothing fancy, just traditional, Southern, barbeque.

I recently attended Historic Augusta’s signature “sip with the spirits” event and had the pleasure of meeting and enjoying Mot’s BBQ. They did a great job catering the event everything was hot, fresh, perfectly cooked, and well seasoned. I’m definitely a fan of their sauces. And how can you go wrong with a beard like that. Old school pit barbecue!

I would highly recommend them for any event you might have coming up and for that matter I’m going to spend more time at their physical location in Evans. They might be giving Sconyer’s a run for his money.

Mot’s is a simple smoked meat joint. The sides are consistently good and the meats are flavorful, with or without sauce. Don’t sleep on the banana pudding. My family has gone to Mot’s for 30 years and it has always presented a nice, family restaurant with consistent ownership while other flash in the pans have come and gone.

Food was not good. What they call hash is not hash. Food didn’t even have a smoked flavor and was bland. Banana pudding had brown bananas with vanilla wafers on top to hide it. Will not be back

I don’t know why I keep giving this place the benefit of the doubt. I wanted to try their new buffet, hoping the new spin might mean an improvement on the product. Not only is the food still bland to inedible…now you get to eat it after it’s been sitting in the open for 4 hours

Good BBQ and decent portions for the price. I had the pork plate and next time I’ll try the ribs. The sauce is tasty.
