I’m in Klamath Falls for work every 4-6 weeks. I’ve been watching Motown’s Pizza start with a pop up shop on the weekends for a few months. I was hoping they would eventually be open during the week when I’m in town. My wish was answered when they opened on Main St. and I was finally able to stop by and try a pizza out this past week.
It was worth the wait. I ordered a large so I could have leftovers and if you’re a pizza snob like I am you have to have the combo in order to judge against all other pies you try. I have had the chance to try Detroit style pizzas in the past while traveling the Midwest and was fortunate enough to sample some in Michigan but never in Detroit itself. This pizza was just like the ones I have tried before. Given Klamath Falls altitude and water it’s very impressive how Motown’s pizza turns out. In a blind taste test I’m not sure you could tell the difference between Klamath Falls and Michigan pizza in this case.
This pizza was heavy when they handed it to me. Yet when I got it back to the hotel to eat, each slice did not feel heavy. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very filling but it doesn’t finish heavy when you’re done. I ate two slices and enjoyed them very much. The dough has a great flavor, the toppings are fresh and tasty.
The real test of any pizza to me is how it does as leftovers, both cold and reheated. Motown’s Pizzeria has a winning combination of dough and ingredients and in this case, makes a great next day meal, cold or warm. The dough holds up and the flavors are still there. There was enough left over that it came home with me and we tried it using the microwave (okay) and the oven to warm to reheat. The oven wins, hands down.
Do not hesitate to stop by and pick up a pizza from Motown’s. The owner and staff are present and are really helpful when it comes to helping you figure out what you want. I’m really looking forward to having them in the rotation of places to eat when I’m working in town.

Great food costs more than fast food. The pizza was delicious. We will be back to try more that this restaurant has to offer. They don’t have signs and only one menu but hey everyone has to start somewhere. Food was amazing was looking forward to their new beer offerings. Didn’t really have any wheat or hefe. No big deal. Great food. Very fast for having issues getting staff hired. I enjoyed it Wife loved it. What else is there to say. Nothing better than supporting local businesses trying to make a living. Quality pizza with quality ingredients. Give them a try you won’t regret it. Don’t be afraid to go out on a limb that’s where the fruit lies.

People were really friendly! Very unassuming place for such great pizza, I got one of their artisans in the regular price and it was not only amazing crunchy, cheesy, and tasty, but also had amazing portions. The only thing I could down the place for is the bathroom but I really wouldn’t count that. Check it out if you come through Klamath falls!

Detroit style pizza in Klamath falls? Yes! This is the best Detroit pizza I’ve had in a while and I’m glad it’s conveniently located. They’re inside the KCC campus making delicious Torino pizza that comes with meatballs and tomato sauce, The chicken bbq is also full of flavor and worth checking out. And of course I had to try the classic pepperoni and cheese. Make sure to carb up with their garlic cheesy bread. And their chicken pesto grinder sandwich. This place is a 10/10 for me. You can eat at their dining hall or take it to go. And the service is impeccable, the pizzas are ready in 10 mins. I will definitely be coming back!

Motown’s Pizzeria is awesome! The Detroit style pizza was so good with a crispy crust, fluffy inside, and tons of flavor. They definitely use really good ingredients. The store is nice and clean and has such a fun vibe. Definitely one of my new favorite pizza spots!

The Detroit style pizza is a welcome departure to what we have locally, and really what we have in the PNW. The edges are crisp and the marinara has a tanginess that I would definitely describe as delicious. The owner and employees are all super friendly people and work hard to make sure you have a great experience from order to table! Nestled right on Main St. The whole place brings a chill atmosphere! Definitely one of the top Pizzerias in Klamath, and probably number 1 if you want a departure from standard pizza!

If you need a good deep dish resty in your life try Motowns pizza. The pizza was excellent because it isn’t just a bread pudding. They put fresh toppings on it and made sure i was satisfied. The environment is great, plenty of friendly employees and great views, including a patio seating area. Don’t take my word for it plenty of reviews here and we are singing the same tune. Get your Motown pizza and you womt complain!
