This is Chef & Restaurateur Brian Goewey’s 7th restaurant location under the BG Hospitality Group umbrella. The moto imōto menu is a beautiful blend of “East meets West” chef driven, farm fresh, pan Asian culinary experience that will delight the taste palette all family members alike. Our chef-driven Asian inspired menu offers shareable plates, fresh farm to fork ingredients, and allows our chefs to elevate and heighten the overall guest dining experience. Great service and a solid overall experience at Moto iMoto in St. Charles. The sashimi was really good and fresh. We enjoyed several rolls — the Dynamite Roll was the standout and definitely our favorite. The Spicy Tuna Roll was just okay compared to the others. The Tuna Tower was also good and nicely presented.
The kids’ bento boxes were a pleasant surprise with very generous portions, which we appreciated. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal.
Nothing that completely blew us away, but everything was good quality and enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back.

I’m new to the area and decided to stop in after seeing their sushi special — and I’m glad I did. The restaurant was very busy, but the service never slipped. What really stood out to me was the manager, Tyler. You could tell right away he was the backbone of the operation. He was everywhere — helping servers, supporting the bartenders, even delivering drinks himself.
Having worked in restaurants, I know the difference between managers who step up and those who leave it all to the staff. Tyler was hands-on, making sure every table in the restaurant was taken care of, including mine. Honestly, he came by our table more often than the server just to check on us, which really impressed me.
The food was fabulous, the atmosphere was lively, and the service was excellent thanks to a true leader running the floor. This place is a gem — I’ll definitely be back!

My all time favorite sushi place, and I’ve been to many sushi places. I spent 10 days in Japan this summer and still couldn’t find better sushi than what you get here in Moto i Moto St. Charles. The best roll by far is the Dynamite. With its explosive flavor and quality ingredients, it delivers exactly the taste you’d hope for. All of their other specialty rolls pretty much also always meet expectations. Their wasabi and ginger is of high quality and they know how to make a Shirley temple. They music and service creates a really nice place to have a fun or even intimate dinner experience. Be careful though, as it can get pretty busy every once in a while. But in between dinner and lunch hours it’s very available.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch here this afternoon. Lauren gave us the royal treatment from start to finish. The rolls were on another level of delicious. The Philadelphia roll was our favorite. The atmosphere was wonderful-great lighting and decor. Everything was just fabulous-thank you.

By far one of our favorite restaurants.. we drive almost an hour just to go here. Happy hour deals are unmatchable!!!! All the food is delicious!!! Service is great!!! Always friendly and attentive staff!!! We did exclusive sake dinner which may have been one of our favorite dining experiences ever!!!!

Loved it! Food delivered everything that it should. Loved that the calamari had tempura veggies mixed in. I had the shrimp ramen. I was skeptical at first but the broth was well flavored and the noodles had the right texture. The Korean fried chicken got good reviews from the dining companion and so did the moto sushi roll and the bisque.
The staff was perfect level of attentive and friendly. Offered a free cake for the person in the group who had a birthday.

My first time coming here with friends and it was great! We didn’t need a reservation. My food was good but I think my two friends would’ve liked to try something else. They ordered the Korean fried chicken, potstickers, and vegetable rolls. I had the beef ramen. Hot plates and we didn’t have to wait that long to get our food. The blueberry mocktails were okay, not our favorite. The service was great and the atmosphere was amazing! Such a nice place to eat at.

Increasing rating to 4 for our latest visit. Our server, Tyler, was terrific but, one of our appetizers arrived after we were half way thru our entrée. The food was excellent (we keep going back) We sat outside which is a busy sidewalk and street, so it was noisy and distracting. While nice to be outside, better overall experience to dine inside, I feel. Realized ordered many of the same things as before. Love the KFC baos!
Going from rating 5 to rating 3 after our New Year’s Eve at 5:30pm. Food was excellent, but service was slow. We were told kitchen backed up with take out orders, but still, one appetizer arrived after more than 20 minutes and the second appetizer 15 minutes after that and probably only because we enquired about status. Also, I ordered the Sorbet Parfait for dessert and the menu says mixed berries as part of the description. There were no berries. Tables very close together so hard to get in and out of our seat. Also asked to sub wide noodles instead of the usual thin ones in the pad thai and there was an upcharge. The experience this visit was not as good as the prior one.
Prior visit: Excellent food, wonderful service, relaxing ambiance. Everything we had was exceptional. Korean Fried Chicken Bao and Ube Coconut Cheesecake were exceptional. Our server, Aidan, pleasant, attentive and made helpful recommendations. The chef was willing to substitute wide rice noodles instead of the standard for the Kung pao noodle dish. Definitely including this place in our core group of ‘go to’ restaurants for a great meal in a nice restaurant. Ample free parking.
