I went to this bar as a part of Soundtrack My Drink. The drink is very tasty. I also love that the bar plays a lot of current music. I walked in and they were playing songs from Bruno Mars’ newest album. I will definitely be coming back to this spot to try more menu items and food.

EDIT: new review 2025- the bartender Tyler v for Nashville location is amazing- promptly took my order coming in as a solo woman at 10pm despite the many groups that were already there. Tyler also helped me charge my phone to ensure I had a ride home. 10/10 service and bartender.
I’ve been coming here since it opened, it’s always shoulder to shoulder packed and music very loud. If your coming here for a place to conversate indoors I wouldent recommend unless you are into yelling at each other. If your looking to have fun and mingle aimlessly and meet new people then this is the place for you! Haha the food is actually very bougie! Would recommend. Service is stellar and extremely fast. Love the staff! Good vibes.

This place is the BOMB! Service is top notch, food is hot and fresh, and the service is exceptional. First time in and will certainly be back. Would you recommend anytime before 6 o’clock because after that it’s standing room only which tells you how good it really is.

Good atmosphere. The street parking is not bad. We also had one of the best breakfast burritos we’ve ever tasted here the last time I was in town! The burgers and sandwiches are delicious. The cocktails are really creative. The names make me laugh so I guess that’s always a good start to a meal. I prefer the bar seating but I’m sure table service is good, as well.

Okay so I feel like a younger crowd would love this place. However I am 42. It was crowded and loud. I sat upstairs with my group so that we could talk. The only part of my meal that I enjoyed was the fries. I had to order my food at the bar downstairs and they give you a table number for someone to bring the food. You also had to go downstairs to get your own drinks. My table had not been cleaned and was very sticky, I had to clean myself with water from the bathroom and a napkin. Bar tenders were very attentive and polite. A younger crowd would have fun here for drinks. Drink names were funny which made me smile.

First time visiting and it did not disappoint! We came because it showed up as one of the only places open at 12 a.m.—turned out to be a hidden gem. From the moment we were seated, we were greeted and felt genuinely welcomed. The atmosphere was cool and laid-back with a great vibe. Food and drinks were both on point. Oh, Mother’s Ruin is such a vibe. I immediately feel like I gain more cool points when I walk in the door. Drinks are next level, and I absolutely love the clever names. The bartenders are talented mixologists, hospitable, and knowledgeable. I have tried almost everything on the food menu and would eat here every day. I am also SUPER thankful for their non-alcoholic options. Anyone can drink here and feel welcome. Germantown is such a good location, and the area has tons of awesome local businesses within walking distance. Street parking is easy and free with sidewalks all around. I have visited the Chicago location and full intend to participate in the Mother’s Day Challenge in 2026! Thanks Mother’s Ruin team! We love you!
