The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy , and the staff were friendly and attentive. I was helped by Servando, Dough, and Daniel, and they were all amazing and helpful, and they made the experience even better! ✨ You can tell they really care about their customers. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu! ✨
The bartenders were aware of the Elite deal and were friendly and helpful with suggestions. I decided on the hot honey wings (also referred to as Mama’s BBQ sauce) for my appetizer and the caramel butter cake for dessert. I was honestly pleasantly surprised by the wings. Wings can be hit or miss depending on personal preference, but these were a hit for me! The homemade sauce was hearty, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat. I ordered all flats and happily devoured every single one.
Dessert was a tougher decision. I was torn between the chocolate cake and the caramel butter cake, but after the bartender recommended the caramel butter cake, I went for it luckily grabbing one of the last two slices available, with another YES member next to me claiming the final piece. It was my first time trying a butter cake, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Rich, sweet, and satisfying without being overwhelming. That said, I’m still very curious about that chocolate cake and have a reason to return.
While waiting, I took some time to peruse the menu, which is designed like a folded newspaper. Such a charming, old-school touch that fits the theme perfectly. The decor throughout the restaurant was also well thought out, featuring a wall of “mothers” and other family-oriented photos that really reinforced the comfort-food concept.
There’s plenty of seating inside, a generously sized outdoor patio, and a U-shaped bar that makes conversation easy and welcoming. The staff was friendly across the board, and management even stopped by to check in on how everything was going. Restrooms were clean, which is always worth mentioning. My only real gripe is the location and parking. The restaurant sits in a consistently busy strip mall with one-way rows, and parking can be a bit frustrating to navigate. That said, it wouldn’t stop me from coming back.
Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Mother’s Comfort Food and plan to return with a group of friends so we can sample more of the menu (and finally settle the chocolate cake mystery).
The menu has a ton of options and is printed to look like a newspaper, which is a nice touch. The ambiance was festive and comfy with nice chairs and a spacious layout. Most importantly, the service was great. We will definitely be back to try out the patio.
They definitely exceeded our expectations – wait time for Saturday brunch was minimal. Service from our server Taylor was great. Food was tasty, filling and as advertised (triple hitter). My only suggestion, design a sampler platter so I can try EVERYTHING!
Just a wonderful experience all the way around.
Thank you Mothers for a great night out!
I ordered the “Tell-Mother-What-You-Want Scramble” with spinach, red onions, and cheddar cheese. My wife had the Tuna Melt, which she enjoyed, though she said she probably wouldn’t order it again because the sourdough bread was a bit too hard. We also tried the homemade potato chips that everyone seemed to rave about online. They lived up to the hype—absolutely delicious. The garlic fries, however, were not our favorite.
All in all, we will definitely return, likely again and again. Very good comfort food!
They always have fun daily specials, and the servers are so kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell the staff actually cares about the experience, which goes a long way.
I also love that they support other local businesses — seeing things like bread from Pizza Baby on the menu is such a cool touch and makes it feel very community-centered.
I noticed a few reviews mentioning pricing, but our portions were massive — easily enough for multiple meals — so to me, the value totally matches the price. Comfort food, generous servings, great service, and local love? Count us in. We’ll definitely be back (probably soon… for breakfast at dinner time )
