Had breakfast here and was absolutely The best breakfast we’ve had in Boulder in 8 years. The lemon buttermilk pancake was so good we didn’t get a picture before we ate it all. My steak and eggs with red pepper hollandaise was pure perfection. Great kids’ options, wonderful service, and no line to get in! Although once people find out how good it is, I’m sure they’ll make the drive “all the way out” to Gunbarrel.

Mike was our server and he was awesome! Very attentive and he actually cared about our experience! Living on the Western Slope, we don’t have a lot of great experiences when we eat out. Especially in our little town. Most of the time dining at restaurants connected to or within the vicinity of hotels the food and service is marginal at best. I would recommend everyone give it try. The wings were outstanding, the filet was tender and flavorful. I’m no food connoisseur, but was happy we found it! My girls say they would give it ten stars!

This was our fourth time and all have been above par! We were a party of three couples taking advantage of the Valentine’s special. Every one of us commented to each other about the great service Liam provided and the incredible flavor that chef Alex was able to concoct with both the salads and fillets. I can personally say that my steak was the best I have had in over two years. I highly recommend this establishment!

Food was solid as was the service.
We came for dinner. Got the brisket burger, potatoes skins, and meat combo platter.
The home made lavender BBQ sauce and the Mac and cheese were the stars of the show.

Post Quarantine rules. They are very clean. They only bring out the condiments you need as they sanitize everything in the back which I appreciated. They keep everything spaced. Food was good. Waiter was nice. Wore both mask and gloves.

I can’t say enough about the atmosphere at the Motherlode, between the lighting, cool lamps in the foyer, cool dishes, and an awesome bar think its obvious that someone took a lot of care to create a go to stop in an unexpected location.
The food was very well crafted, with unique pairings that made it worth the price of admission. Will be going again soon.

Food was good, but slightly overpriced for the serving size (especially based on previously being in Longmont). Beer selection was decent but the menu had all kinds of typos and inconsistently listed beer names or styles. We had to wait close to 2 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, even though the bar tender saw us and 2 different servers walked by us more than twice each. After 5 min we were finally taken to a table (there were many). Our table wasn’t wiped down when we got there and we had to ask a second time for them to do it. Their sanitation standards meet pre-covid. One couple left saying they’d been waiting an hour on the their food. At some point I over heard our server telling another table that the kitchen was overwhelmed with Door Dash orders and in person orders and it was backed up. Our Nachos took about 10-15 min, so not terrible. Our poor server was overwhelmed with the delays and seemed to be new to serving.
We probably won’t be coming back. I dislike restaurants that prioritize DoorDash over in person, but I do know it takes a while for restaurants to find their groove and balance between the two. Cleanliness and lack of acknowledgement is the other reasons we won’t be coming back.

We disregarded the few, older reviews and went for brunch this morning. So glad we did, it was a great meal! Service was prompt and friendly and the seating was comfortable.
We were greeted with water and our drink order was taken right away. Our food came within a respectable amount of time for scratch made. The motherlode and french toast were phenomenal! My over medium eggs were perfectly cooked! And who doesn’t love bacon!
The only issue I had was the main room lighting, it was too harsh.
There was a more private dining area (approx.10’x16′) with a large round table and a 2 person table, if you wanted privacy and a window seat.
Pricing was reasonable, reflecting the high food quality.
We’ll try the lunch menu next time.
