We most recently went here with a large party of 9 on a Saturday that was well accommodated.
Large portion sizes at a good value. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Great for classic dishes like chicken parmigiana. The exquisito is also popular with people I have gone to for a marsala style sauce on a breaded chicken cutlet.
To Boston to have dinner at the original Mother.Anna’s In the North end. (Mother Anna) was there ..Tonight’s dinner was absolutely delicious and just like what we used to get when we would go to the one in the North End. I had the veal scallopini ,marsala and brought one home to my husband. The portion was so large , the veal was so tender and of course , mother and sauce can’t be beat. Sat the bar and the.Bartenders were really friendly and very nice. I can’t say enough about the food, the atmosphere and the service.I highly recommend this restaurant.P.S. take some sauce home !!!
Now, let’s talk about the food. The menu offers a variety of Italian dishes, with the chicken parmigiana standing out as the best. The eggplant and veal parmigiana are also exceptional, arguably the best on the South Shore. We’ve been dining here for years, and whether you’re local or just in the mood for Italian cuisine, I highly recommend a visit to Mother Anna’s.
If you get their salad you MUST get their homemade creamy Italian dressing to complete your meal.
Our server Dawn was pleasant and not intrusive but perfect in all ways that made our meal worth waiting for.
If you want fast food you’ll be disappointed but if you and your family would enjoy a homemade Authentic Italian experience than Mother Anna’s is the place to go!
The only negative thing i could say is that there wasn’t Italian music playing..just main stream radio. I would have preferred me some Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin with my meal (minus 1 ) None the less go and Enjoy!!
