One of Motea’s founder is from Taiwan, the birthplace of bubble milk tea. In 2003, he came to the United States to study, and since then, he wanted to promote Taiwan’s bubble milk tea here in Indiana. The “Mo” in Motea in Chinese stands for “magic,” we hope that the spirit of the brand is like magic, full of attraction and excitement.

it’s a shame that a chain store trains their staff like this. i’m a long time customer here we know your taste of bubble tea but today you guys let us down. we ordered a classic bubble milk 100% sugar and then we ordered the same with 80% sugar but it was sweeter than the 100% sugar one. we told the staff this one is sweet and i need less sweet and they just said take the same one back and nothing to change.

I normally don’t like boba but my friends insisted we go try out this place. Sure I was skeptical but boy was I wrong. I talked to the manager and he said that all of the drinks were fresh.. I ordered the Nutella ice cream and the girl who made it was SUPERRR fast, it took her like 5 minutes I think to roll that out which other places take way longer. The other girl who gave us our ice cream was super friendly and complimented us, saying that we were a cute friend group. We will be coming back for sure!!

The place really has a problem every time a new person comes in. They make really bad drinks and not the taste I’m used to here. I ordered a normal drink but it was too sweet. I ordered another drink with less sugar and they made it even sweeter than the original. I told them and they said there was nothing they could do. Crazy, their attitude and drinks are really stupid. If you can’t train your staff then don’t let them stand at the counter and make such a bad product.

I had a Peach Green Lemonade with peach bubbles-less sweet and it was great! The girls at the register were so accommodating and ready to make suggestions. I traveled here specifically while cross country moving for Lou Malnati’s deep dish next door, which didn’t allow animals on the patio. Motea is next door, and allowed my dog and outside food while traveling cross country and that’s all I can ask for. I have an 11 hr drive ahead of me, but am in no rush because the atmosphere was so relaxing. Great, friendly staff! They deserve a raise+bonus. P.S. They gave my dog a bigger pup cup than Starbucks lol

Came here when we saw the Now Open sign as I’ve been waiting for this to open! They have a good variety of delicious dishes which we tried as well as teas. We tried the Taiwanese crispy chicken which is one of my favorite snacks and also got a couple of rice bowls. As for teas, I tried their house bubble milk tea and Thai iced tea. Both were delicious! For dessert we got the green tea and strawberry banana rolled ice creams. The rolled ice cream seems to be the favorite as that is what a lot of people were ordering.

I had the best experience at MoteaPlus! The bubble tea was absolutely delicious—perfectly sweet and refreshing, with a variety of flavors to choose from. The ramen was equally amazing, with rich, savory broth. The staff was super super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I’ll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend!

It’s exactly what you expect from a boba tea shop. The drinks were delicious and just depends what you like. My sister got the strawberry taro which she was pleased with. I love fruit teas so I tried the Peach Green Lemonade with rainbow jelly. It was REALLY good! We also ordered the Taiwanese crispy chicken and as always, it’s extra extra crispy, fragrant and delicious. Like other Moteas, this one is right on brand. So glad to have a little spot so close to home!

Sorry to say this but it did not meet my expectations and was far from it. I came in with a very simple request, a basic plain broth and noodles take-out for my sick kids and boba. Came in around 11:10-11:15a shortly after opening and was told the tapioca wouldn’t be ready for close to an hour.. at noon. Then why do they open at 11 ? Owner needs to schedule an employee early to start the process, that’s part of running a restaurant is prepping before opening. Also, noodles were absolute mush and gummy. I asked for a basic broth with nothing in it and it was loaded with fried onions. Was not even edible, waste of time and money. This place is out of my way and unfortunately I will not be making a trip over here again. Disappointed they totally missed

Drinks are good however we came in around 8:45 and the girl taking the order didnt seem like she wanted to. The ramen was overly salty and the noodles were undercooked. Honestly just come for the drinks and desserts.

Really amazing food! A bit pricey but for what it is that is normal so you can imagine my surprise when I saw how much food it actually was. The staff was really nice and attentive as well! The food was so good and the ramen rich and full of flavor and the rolled ice cream was the best ice cream I’ve ever had!!
