This was some of the best bbq outside of texas I’ve had! We got the brisket and the pulled pork with mac and cheese, corn bread, and mashed potatos. The brisket was incredibly moisty and melt in your mouth. The pulled pork was also really good. The mashed potatos were soo creamy and delicious! The mac and cheese was also pretty good though just above standard. Also loved the corn bread! The only super minor note i would say is it would be great if they had a homemade lemonade instead of just bottles

We weren’t sure what to get – everything sounded so good, so we wanted to try it all! We were greeted by the owner, Rob, and he made our BBQ dreams come true by building a custom platter for us to share! We skipped sides to fully enjoy the meats.
The food was OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. My personal favorites were the Brisket and the Ribs. Very little fat, and nothing but bone left on the rib. The other meats were absolutely delicious, too. You CAN’T go wrong with whatever your order.
We were there for over an hour, and waves of people kept coming in, many (if not all of them) were regulars. Rob and his team really make everyone feel like family! We ended up chatting with several other guests about our meals and what we liked.
Having seen we didn’t get any sides, Rob gave us a taste of the mashed potatoes and beans, and boy, did we miss out! DON’T SLEEP ON THE MASHED POTATOES! Unbelievable. And the beans? Omg.
I could go on about the food and the pickles, and how friendly and accommodating Rob is, but you’re probably not going to read this far. Just go try it, and you’ll see what I mean.
I shared our experience with my wife, and she got so excited to try it that we were going to order for dinner, but they’re closing in 15 minutes (7:30pm). I absolutely would have eaten here twice today.
We’ll be back. Sooner than later!

1. They have a great service. Very welcoming, very informative if it’s your first time – just ask!
2. Prices are GREAT for this time and age – you get a really really good value for your money.
3. Of course – the food is AMAZING! They keep it simple and full of flavor.
This is my new favorite spot when I’m in the area, and if I don’t have time to sit, I’ll make sure to grab one to go.

Go out of your way to try this place. I was very surprised with the food, alone the amount of pulled pork would be two orders worth at any other place. Either the manager or owner was very nice checking on me, and was helpful when I asked for anything. Get the chili if it’s on the menu, trust me.
The brisket and pulled pork were tender and solid. My only complaint would be more bbq sauce.
The wings are what stole the show for me, they were smoked and fried and the glaze was just right, I ate them without needing blue cheese…
The Mac & Cheese was not bland like other places, the Mashed Potato’s were very parmesan-y. The cornbread was like any other place.

I recently tried Mostly Smoked Barbeque in Manalapan, NJ, and it’s safe to say they know exactly what they’re doing when it comes to BBQ. Everything we ordered was absolutely phenomenal.
The ribs were tender, juicy, and packed with smoky flavor that fell right off the bone. The smoked brisket was melt-in-your-mouth perfection with just the right amount of bark and seasoning. The Alabama white sauce wings were a showstopper, perfectly smoked with that tangy, creamy kick that had me going back for more.
The sides deserve their own spotlight, the mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and indulgent, while the baked beans had that sweet, smoky depth that perfectly complemented the meats.
It’s rare to find a place where every single item hits the mark, but Mostly Smoked nailed it from start to finish. This is authentic, top-tier BBQ, and I’ll definitely be back very soon.

We had ribs, turkey, brisket, mashed potatoes, and burnt ends beans. I am a huge fan of bbq and there are some good BBQ places in NJ including my own back yard. This is about the best there is. Their BBQ sauce is outstanding and I bought a bottle to bring home. Everything is house made including the pickles and pickled onions. Everything tasted fresh and very balanced! The turkey was moist and super tender, the brisket was super tender, moist and not too fatty. The ribs were perfect! Just the right amount of bite, leaving a perfect semicircle with each bite! Great spot and you can tell it’s real deal Que made with TLC!

We ordered a lot (don’t judge ) First mouthful was mind blowing and with each bite of the many things we tried, it just kept getting better! But was most precious, is we had the luxury of meeting Rob, the owner, what a guy!!! My boyfriend showed interest in a smoker and Rob took the time out to bring us both to the back and showed us around and this is the point I realized how much time, effort and love this man puts into everything made here. I am not kidding when I say you could taste the love in everything you try here. A boring Friday night turned into a memorable experience. Thank you again Rob, we really loved everything about our experience!!! I highly recommend Mostly Smoked, you will most certainly not be disappointed. Coming back for those wings!!!
