We stopped here on our way through Pearl, MS. We had the lunch special of 6 shrimp, 2 sides and 3 hush puppies and 4 cans fish strips, 2 sides and 3 hush puppies for $11.79 each. We felt that was a good value. The catfish and shrimp were great. The sides, like the Mac n’ cheese, lacked flavor.
Service was excellent. We were greeted immediately and our food came out quickly. It was hot-like it had just been cooked.
Overall it was a solid choice for a reasonably priced lunch.

Was looking everywhere that sell whole fried catfish and Moss Creek have them. Simple menu of catfish, shrimp, there are burgers if you want that too.
Option of all you can eat platter, unless you are a NFL player there is no way you need the all you can eat option. I saw so many leftovers from other tables .
Service is quick. Everything is fresh. Cooking oil they use doesnt seems to be old because food is golden color instead of dark brown and burnt like fast food places.
Catfish need more seasoning. Might be kinda bland but they do provide a bottle of tartar sauce for you. Also they have “come back” sauce for other items to dip in. I love hush puppies and I like theirs. Crunchy on the outside and sweet and soft on the inside. They use sweet cornbread which I like . Sides are pretty standard. Good place to eat overall.

As a truck driver, I stop in at Moss Creek every trip through the area. I always get the AYCE Catfish dinner. It’s always well seasoned, served hot, and quickly. The servers here are always so friendly and VERY welcoming! Definitely looking forward to my next visit.

EXTREMELY FAST lunch service! The server was prompt, kind, and courteous. The sweet potato was large, tender, and delicious. The okra were plump, soft, and cooked to perfection. The catfish pieces were a little small but very, very tasty. Cooked to perfection! I really appreciate how fast the food came. My only concern was that of the women’s bathroom. The door opened right into the second stall, not leaving much room to walk in. There were only two stalls in what appeared to be a very small bathroom. The food and service made up for this!

Went in today for to-go. I order the large catfish filets with 2 sides and hushpuppies. Also another 5 piece chicken tender plate with 2 sides for total is $34.10.
1st let’s talk about the size of these sides. It’s ridiculous. When dining in your serving size is double the amount. Now onto the fish. These are not filets they’re more like strips. Once again when dining in the serving size is much better. I asked for the manager about the sides inquiring if that’s the correct size or did they run out of the normal to-go bowl. He proceeds to state with an attitude that’s the normal size and nothing he can do about it, I told him perhaps he can give me 2 of them he says it will be an extra charge but I tell him this is no where near the amount when dining in, I know because I dine in often at that location. He once again didn’t seem to care said that if he gave me 2 it would be more than a serving size (yeah right). Then he left. I was not the only customer complaining about it to him she had an almost $200 order. The young man who brought the food to us was very very apologetic and said he understands. This will be the 1st and last time I order take out. But the manager is making me think twice about dining in with his rude non caring attitude

Good gumbo omg I go get several cups of the gumbo when I’m in town with the hush puppies just sets it off! Staff is super on top of everything very friendly and attentive to customers and great work ethic.

Off the lunch menu.. Very reasonable prices.. But food is precooked.. I want hot French fries not warmed fries.. The fish is warm enough I guess.. Yes, I’ll be back for a quick lunch but would not invite visiting company out to eat there.. Fast food though.. Update 8-19-2025, today, I had grilled fish, I figured it would be hot.. but fries were lukewarm.. When I was getting ready to pay my bill (see receipt photo), I saw their suggested 20% tip was more than I had figured in my head.. So I got my calculator out.. They were trying to get me to pay 20% tip on the taxes also!! I tried explaining the misleading tip calculations.. The waitress just kept telling me, it was a suggestion and not added to my bill. Her resolution was to tear the bottom of my ticket off containing the tip calculations.. While paying my bill, Even after explaining the computer error was misleading to customers.. She even explained it was not on my bill and it was a suggestion only.. She then told me “ to have a Blessed Day “. I know what that means in that tone and actions.. Guess what? “With all due respect “ I will not be back and I didn’t leave a tip at all.. zero..

Terrific local restaurant with friendly family atmosphere. Fried shrimp and onion rings were fantastic! Shrimp were large and cooked perfectly and onion rings were hand battered. Food came out really quickly and our server was great!

Not sure about the negative reviews, but I was in there 7/9/2024 and the experience was great. Ordered the 2 platter with fried shrimp and fried catfish with cabbage and fried okra. Miller lite for beverage. Service was really friendly and quick. Food came out very hot and freshly fried. Not a big fan of thin catfish, but was done well. Shrimp were incredible. Cabbage is very simply sautéed in what tasted like bacon fat with no seasoning but was really good. I don’t care about hush puppies but these would be heaven for my wife. I’m from Pensacola and was raised on fried shrimp and this place delivered on the shrimp. Big bonus was that it is a local family owned place and I love that they are doing it right. Ignore the nay-sayers and get yourself into this place. You will not regret it, especially among the corporate trash places that are prevalent in the area.
