Historic bay front Clam Chowder restaurant. I’ve been dropping in here for years and it’s still my favorite place to get seafood in Newport. Perfection chowder and seafood. Atmosphere is nostalgic and tops the charts.

We’ve been to six Mo’s locations and We’ve been to this one before. Unfortunately, this time the food was a let down. The clams in broth were totally bland. The clam chowder was very good.
Fish and Chips were sadly over cooked. We’re not rushing back here. There are two Mo’s in Newport at the bay. One is closed temporarily for repairs and we ate at the Original Mo’s across the street from the other Mo’s. Come here for their famous Clam Chowder but anything else, try another restaurant.

2 cannonball chowders, sourdough bread bowl was tender and a great complement to the creamy, smooth chowder. Cod tacos (x3) were good lacking a seasoning. Fish wonderfully tender despite. Beautiful view. A must visit.

Mo’s is a Newport classic and the food/service reinforces that. We had a party of 3 and we had no issues finding seating which was great considering we stopped by at 5:30pm on a Friday. The server was attentive and on top of things while also being personable and helpful. The chowder was heavenly and there is no doubt in my mind that it was fresh. Highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner when in Newport!

If you find your way onto the Oregon coast, all you have is to show up at one of Moe’s many wonderful and tasty seafood restaurants located on the Oregon coast. All of their fried seafood as well as oyster shooters are amazing. Famous on chowder. Top with yummy bay the staff here is also free attentive, and just fun to interact with.
