Lunch today at Morty’s in Dunwoody. Morty’ is a new restaurant in what is being transformed in Dunwoody Village into multiple restaurants, Ice cream and retail. They also call it Funwoody and the outside deck areas will be awesome when the weather warms.
The inside of Morty’s is still a work in progress but worth a visit
Our server did a nice job of taking care of my guest and myself
My guest ordered a trio of vegetables: Mac n Cheese, Creamed corn and Broccoli casserole. She especially liked the Mac n Cheese and said the bacon in the Creamed Corn gave it a nice flavor surprise.
I ordered what was called a Funwoody Philly which consisted of a generous amount of brisket which was tender and quite good. My side was brisket baked beans and my personal favorite
Would I come back: Yes and can’t wait till the weather make it even more worth the trip

Such a great place as are all the restaurants in the Dash Group. We often come by and sit outside with our dogs or friends to watch a game, listen to music or just chill out. It is amazing that you can order from the different restaurants so everyone can get what they want. We had planned to have a team dinner in the courtyard of about 25 people, and when the weather turned, they were able to move things around to get us inside at Morty’s. The staff are always so kind and take care of you. For those of you who have not been the BBQ is great a combination of NY meets the South, but the star of the show are the sides… The smoked bacon creamed corn is insane, the Mac and Cheese is great and the Brussel Sprouts are a must have, and while you may not see it on the menu you really should get a Reubin.
PS. Sorry for the lack of Pictures, was too busy eating lol. Will post some in the future.

The atmosphere here is fantastic, and the food is delicious. Prices are reasonable, making it a great value. I especially love how the space combines indoor and outdoor seating, giving it a relaxed and flexible vibe. They even have some classic pinball games, which makes it fun for families and kids too.

The fried pickles were the best I’ve had. Love the fries with the spicy sauce. And falafel was good too. And the frost was really flavorful. The meats were ok and the broccoli was really good!!! We sat outside which was nice and relaxing. A good spot for a chill quick bite.

Have to give it a 1 this time and that’s a shame because I ordered last week and it was so good and tender, but I picked up today and the ribs are so tough and fatty! Don’t even taste like the same restaurant. Hard to find good BBQ in Atlanta and thought I had found a good one, but disappointed. The greens were good and the smoked corn is different.

Sadness. How can a restaurant provide such a small amount of bbq sauce for a two meat plate. And I was charged extra by Uber Eats for the sauce. Greens were good. Brussels and turkey were ok. Brisket was dry.

Found this place on a random google search to find lunch places around Sandy springs .
This place is such a vibe … love the ambience and food is definitely worth the drive .
Went here for a lunch that turned into a happy hour … this should tell you all how much we loved the spot .
I ordered the daily special “salmon” which was soooo aptly done , flavorful and not overcook . My friend ordered pork ribs which also are a go to fav .
The drinks aren’t bad either .. my vote is for the pineapple jalapeño margarita . People serving us were super amazing . Definitely going back for more .

To be fair, I’m not really a meat eater so I don’t belong here, but I wanted to go so my husband could try it and I like to support local businesses. I got a salad with chicken salad on top and it was pretty terrible. There was some attempt at roasted veggies on the salad but they were gross and overall it was 90% lettuce. The chicken salad was not my thing either – I didn’t like the texture or flavor. I also got the brussel sprouts and they were ok but I wouldn’t get them again. They didn’t cut the stems off which was annoying. Apparently the brisket and pulled pork were good. I would try one more time and just get sides, but it would be really great if they could pull together at least one good vegetation dish so we can eat there with our meat eater friends.

The beef brisket nachos were absolutely amazing and the banana pudding was just as great! But it wasn’t only the food that stood out — the service and the people made the experience even better. Francisco and Sanders went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The restaurant seems to be a combination of bar food and BBQ. There’s two menus for each, and note that if you order from the BBQ menu, there’s an automatic 20% gratuity fee.
I ordered a beef brisket platter. Overall it was amazing with good ratio of fat and lean meat. However, I would say the lean parts are a bit dry, but it still works out when eaten with the fattier part. The sides were also amazing, I got the crispy Brussel sprouts and cucumber salad, each that are such contrast of another, where one is fried good crispiness and the other is refreshing and grease-cutting.
I was surprised to see burnt end on the menu, but unfortunately it is only available on Saturdays so I guess I’ll need to revisit on a Saturday.
