Hands down the best sandwiches I have ever had in my whole life. Perfection on a plate. Only small complaint I have is that I feel the open hours can be slightly inconsistent. Sometimes they open late and close early, but I feel like I am just getting a little unlucky with my timing on visiting and that its actually not an issue.

Very rare in New England, Morse Block is a business that understands the art of culinary alchemy. The history of great culinary discovery and tradition is exemplified by these fantastic artisans. Vermont needs more Morse Block. And post-pandemic, the US needs to remember how food tastes, what ingredients are, and how to properly prepare fine ingredients. All of this and more is executed expertly at Morse Block Deli.

Morse Block catered both my rehearsal dinner and wedding meal. First and foremost, the food was exceptional! The team went above and beyond to make sure flavors were complementary and appetizing. Let’s be honest, sometimes wedding meals can be a little dull, but that was NOT the case here! Many of our guests told us the food was amazing.
And now let’s talk about the fantastic service. The Morse Block team was organized with all of our logistics prior and during events. The team that prepped and served the meals were just phenomenal. Guys, it was HOT not one but both days during my wedding weekend. I know it hurt, but our caterers did not show it. They were professional, personable, and just all around pleasant to be around.
Highly recommend using them for their next event!

I had a Vermonter, and it was great. Great quantity of meat and the apple gives it a great crunch. When I went to pick it up my sandwich there was only one man working. My heart goes out to him because his silent stress was loud. He was so kind and apologetic for being a few minutes late.

Visiting from FL. Had the Vermonter, delicious! Has a hint of sweet and crisp from the apples, sandwich was perfectly toasted!
The ginger sweet potato soup was a great balance and the ginger was not overpowering and balanced well with the sweet potato.
Everything was fresh and locally sourced.
Their cookies are also very good!

Oh my god ! First time around Barre and we were completely exhausted from MTB In Millstone Hills and we needed a sandwich… found the subway but decided to search and found this fantastic gem !!

Phenomenal ingredients. Wonderful folks work here. The food is excellent! They also have a great selection of both alcohol and non alcoholic beverages. Truly one of my favorite places to eat!

Stopped here for a quick bite after touring the granite quarry and hope cemetery and I am very glad we did. Wonderful, fresh sandwiches. I ordered the Granite City and my husband got a grilled cheese. Love checking out local places while traveling and this one is a must check out!
