Originally we’re planning on getting brunch at Hank’s but the line was long and it was too cold to wait outside so we decided to go elsewhere.
We decided to try the morningside cafe nearby for the first time and were so glad to discover this new gem. The staffs were nice and attentive. Food was very homey. Delicious without being too greasy, sweet, or salty. Portion was just right for us.

Great place for breakfast. It is like your mom is in the kitchen, delicious food and great service. Check out their daily omelette specials.

Was looking for a new place to go for breakfast and we found this place. The older lady who greeted me after entering was the best thing about this place.
My waitress was ok, seemed a bit rushy.
The atmosphere was very bright, a TV would do the cafe some justice.
The tomatoes in my omelette were very sour to the taste,
almost like they were bad.
My sausages were very dry and a bit hard. The grits were good.
The French bread presentation was nice as well .
The bill can add up very quickly because you only get the entree and the sides come separately.
For 2 people, our bill came to a ridiculously $60 .
so the entree was French toast for 1 price , and had to buy eggs, sausage, home fries as another order..
The food wait was 3/5.

This is a new place and has lots of potential. The food was very good. Fried chicken dish was perfect. The potatoes are boiled first and need to be crispier. My kids tried chocolate pancakes, which were delicious. The portions are very generous. Hot chocolate was gross, but there are not many places that can make them well. Service was attentive, but slow at a non-busy time. Overall this place is around 4.7. We will definitely return as they have a great menu and everything tasted great.

A disappointment after reading other reviews. Good service and very clean but a sterile atmosphere with overhead fluorescent lights. But the potatoes in my classic breakfast were surprisingly bland potatoes, with none of the crispiness I look for. Toast was very lightly buttered. I treated myself to pork roll and got one overcooked (and therefore dry) slice for $4.50. The pictured breakfast plus coffee came to $15 plus tip.

A very spacious neighborhood spot with a large dining room and good breakfast classics. I really enjoyed the scrapple and they gave a ton.

Food was overall good . Pretty pricey for breakfast . They charge you for every little thing . Only certain dishes come with potato’s . Sides are pricey . Our waitress was very friendly and personable. She was very on top of our table with coffee and water refills . Very bright inside restaurant and warm .

In town for Neumann University Men’s Hockey and came upon this establishment by chance…and happy we did!! We hit the “trifecta”….Service, Food and Atmosphere were all “above and beyond” the norm by today’s standards….we will be back and if you are around, give it a try…I highly doubt they will disappoint….if I lived it the area, it would be a “Go To” Spot for me! Thank you again, for a pleasurable experience…

We both said “best omelette ever”!!
Not from the area but would like to be to go here more often. Waitress Sophie could not have nicer and made our day start on a high note.
Who makes that multi/grain bread (??) …. Excellent!
Good luck, Sophie, with your upcoming life decisions
