This is the problem, when a business runs and the Staff thinks, they can be rude and unfriendly. They make you feel that they don’t think much of foreign tourists. No good morning, no smile instead smashing the menue card on the table while turning to leave at the same moment. I immediately got up and left. Other guests have obviously had the same experience before. And the owner’s apology under the review I read was obviously just advertising. Nothing has changed.
I immediately got up and left without placing a order. Even on my first visit, the friendliness noticeably decreased during my breakfast. For me alone a reason never go back there .
The breakfast is ok. The breakfast Set is a little bit poor for the high price and coffee is not included. For each cup of Coffee you pay 30 Baht on Top. If you choose something else like fried eggs you have to pay 60 Baht for a Coffee. The price philosophy is a little bit strange. The decor, on the other hand, is very cozy and tasteful. However, the facilities are no reason to go back; one wants to feel comfortable and not be treated badly. The picture shows a breakfast I put together myself and a cup of coffee for 60 Baht . Totally 229 Baht. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they are willing to accept poor treatment in exchange for breakfast there.

Went to this restaurant for lunch but noticed most of their dishes were pork, and since we don’t eat pork, we weren’t sure what to order. The staff (or maybe the owner) was super kind and offered to make something special for us — a stir-fried chicken and mushroom dish with cabbage, served with rice. It was really thoughtful of them, and the food turned out to be quite good too! Such a nice experience overall

A local favorite in the Central Plaza area. Quaint cottage style restaurant offering breakfast and lunch. Owner is very “hands on” so detail and quality is obvious. Food cooked to order and service excellent. Prices are reasonable. Charming place for date or family. Excellence and pride and will not disappoint.

Perfect breakfast setting in traditional style wooden house. Big menu with lots of varied breakfast options. Very professional service, and the kitchen is on top of thier game. Hard to beat if you are after a classy breakfast experience. Thai breakfast pan fried eggs is very good with Vietnamese bread. Also recommended the mee klook dry noodles.

Lovely place. Air conditioning. I had 2 sausage and pork rolls for 50 baht and a hot latte for 60 baht. Very tasty. Nice staff. On a seedy street but away from the main thoroughfare. Nice atmosphere.

Cool Papa
I am very happy to discover this cafe, which has been open now for about 6 months. Hours begin at 7:00 a.m. and finish at 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon.

The central location is one street over from Central Plaza toward the night market and UD Town.

It’s a lovely old home in the heart of the city which has been turned into a charming restaurant. Plenty of parking in front, and the shop is set back off the street about 50 m or so. Located right next to the popular Panerai Hotel.

Prices are quite reasonable. I had a hot Cafe Americano for 50 baht, which was perfect. I had the scrambled eggs set breakfast, which was 169 baht and quite tasty.

The eggs were nicely seasoned, and I especially liked the sausage and the toast. They have a special way of toasting the bread, which most shops don’t do.

I’ll return soon to try the Vietnamese banh mi-style sandwiches. I noticed plenty of Thai and Vietnamese dishes on the menu as well as Western food.

There are plenty of photo-op niches in the cafe, and there is a large upstairs seating if you’re looking for more privacy.

Friendly staff, English spoken, and all-in-all a very nice experience for breakfast. Highly recommended.

UPDATE

I’ve returned to this shop several times and found a very tasty scrambled eggs with cheese and ham dish served on rice for only 79 baht. And the coffee is quite good.

I’ll sample the famous Vietnamese noodle dish–Pho–on my next visit.

Pare, the lovely owner, is considering adding more Western dishes to the menu, so this is a very strong, centrally-located breakfast option in Udon Thani. Breakfast served till the 3PM closing time.
