Reviews
The most delicate well balanced beautifully presented dishes that leave you smiling. This has to be my all time favorite restaurant from the enchanting decor, unbelievable tasting food and seamless service.
The owners, Sharon and Ruben are so humble. They have no idea how special MORLA really is.
Recommendations necessary
The quality of the food is outstanding: fresh ingredients, well-defined flavors, and thoughtful execution. The tacos are among the best I’ve had in the city—perfectly balanced and full of flavor—and the sea bass is simply impeccable, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented.
What truly sets Morla apart, though, is the service. It’s run by its own owners, and you can feel it in every detail: genuine warmth, care, and an attention to the overall experience that’s increasingly rare. This isn’t just good service—it’s great people who truly care.
A restaurant built with passion, precision, and respect for its guests. Highly recommended, and definitely a place worth returning to.
Everything was perfect.
The combination of new flavors in all of their Peruvian cuisine was exquisite. I recommend this restaurant highly.
We had the Tuna Crudo, Branzino Grilleado, Ceviche Tostadas, Pear Pasta, and cheesecake dessert.
GOOD
* The ambience was beautiful. Tasteful decoration, good sound, easy to talk to my partner.
* The Ceviche Tostada was extremely good. The best of the 5 dishes we had.
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
* The Tuna Crudo had no balance. It was just straight up sour. Not what I was expecting or hoping for for something that looked so good (pictured).
* I sense the front of house was short-staffed, because I could see miscommunication everywhere. Little things – they almost gave us the wrong dish twice; I was offered water and said yes, and the waitress just completely forgot until I flagged her down 10 minutes later and asked again; and between courses no one wiped down the table (which is expected for a restaurant at this price range and offering $150 tasting menus!).
* Those lean back swivel chairs in the middle were really hard to get out of, and I was sort of stuck until I asked the person behind me to move a little.
This restaurant absolutely blew me away. From the moment we walked in, the modern-chic, wood-forward décor created an atmosphere that felt both elevated and incredibly warm. The service was genuinely delightful—they made us feel like we were being welcomed into their own living room, even though the restaurant itself is quite upscale.
Every dish was a masterpiece. The beats passionfruit hamachi was a stunning flavor explosion—bright, layered, texturally complex, and beautifully confusing in the best possible way. The ceviche tostadas were perfection, featuring insanely fresh, high-quality fish that you just don’t find everywhere. And the wood-fired octopus? Absolutely perfect—smoky, tender, and packed with flavor.
A truly gourmet Latin American–Peruvian experience. If you’re anywhere near Bay Harbor, this place is a must. Enjoy!
We are San Diego natives and are always disappointed by Mexican food in South Florida. Not this time! It’s Peruvian Mexican fusion,
Rueben is from Baja and Sharon is from Peru. He brings the core of the dishes plus the quality Baja California wines (first place in all of SoFlo we have seen wines from Valle de Guadalupe) and she brings the Peruvian spices and sauces. I’d give it 10 thumbs up if I had 10 hands!
