Went to have a small meeting of the minds for my business and decided to dine at Morgan’s Island Grill. I must say, it was the best decision of the day. Great atmosphere and staff. Plates were plentiful and worth every penny spent. Food was delicious and we plan on returning very soon for our next business meeting. The owner is very personable and makes you feel like you’re at home. So much food that we couldn’t finish. Even ordered plates to go for the next day. If you are looking for Jamaican or Caribbean style cuisine, this is the place to be and they let you do combos, which is a plus. I had oxtails and jerk chicken. MMM MMM good.

I drove all the way from the Philadelphia area to meet a friend and when I tell you this food was AWESOME! As a fellow Jamaican we know good food just from smelling it. Kenroy was so welcoming and sat down to chat with us. You could really tell that people come back because of the welcoming atmosphere, great spirit, and delicious food. We will definitely be back and might bring a busload on the next trip.

We kicked off the new year in the islands – or at least it felt that way! Morgan’s Island Grill will transport you to somewhere warm (even on a frigid winter evening) and it’s owner, Mr. Morgan, will fill your plates and bellies with authentic Caribbean flavors! This is not the jerk seasoning you may have grown accustomed to. The complex flavor profiles served up in this little corner spot offer a transcendent culinary experience!
Not big meat eaters, we sampled the jerk chicken, curry shrimp, salmon, flounder and yes – the “meat on the bone” – ox tails! Please don’t ask me to pick a favorite!! Rounded out with the best chicken soup EVER, salad, cabbage, plantains and rice and beans, we might just miss our flight home tomorrow (kidding!).
Leave your passport and bring your appetite – you are in for an adventure!!

I live in Philly. Did a Google search for Carribean Restaurant. Got a nice list of restaurants. For some reason I chose Morgan’s. A little over an hour from Philly.
When I walked up I heard someone yell something at me. Turns out it was the owner speaking & welcoming me to the restaurant. He was outside cooking on the grill. Welcomed me in and explained the menu. I got jerk chicken, shrimp, rice, cabbage and cornbread. My intension was to eat a little and take the rest home. As I never like to eat until full when I’m out. Didn’t know I was eating cabbage until half way through the plate. I’ve never liked cabbage. Let’s just say I’m a cabbage eater now. Cornbread melts in your mouth. Everything on the plate was delicious. Was left with nothing to bring home. Had to order some chicken and beef patties to go. Have you ever been so impressed with something you feel like the words you know just aren’t good enough to describe the situation. The food and hospitality was just outstanding. Wish I lived closer, but actually glad I don’t. My weight would skyrocket. I would recommend Morgan’s to anyone that appreciates good food and good service. And the place is clean and comfortable.

I recently had food catered from Morgan’s Island Grill, and everything was fantastic! Working with Morgan was a wonderful experience. He was professional, accommodating, and made the entire process smooth and enjoyable.
We ordered fry chicken, curry chicken, oxtail, and curry goat, and every dish was full of flavor. The seasonings were on point, the meats were well cooked, and my guests enjoyed every bite. The curry dishes were rich and delicious, the fry chicken was perfectly seasoned, and the oxtail had great flavor that everyone loved.
Morgan also blessed us with a pan of complimentary cornbread, and it was absolutely delicious — moist, sweet, and a crowd favorite.
If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican food paired with excellent customer service, I highly recommend Morgan’s Island Grill. I will definitely be using them again for future events!

I needed to have some good food for my daughter‘s baby shower and I called Morgan’s Island Grill and we talked about what I wanted. Morgan was so friendly and patient with me he made me feel like a member of his family so I knew the food would be good. On the day of the event he walked in very happy to be there and brighten up the room. Well not only was the food delicious he brought food I did not order. Every dish was chef’s kiss. People were lined up and ready to eat every last bite on their plates. People went back for seconds and were still able to take food home with them. Morgan went above and beyond serving food, joking, cleaning just a genuine nice man with a big heart that knows how to cook. I highly recommend this restaurant and catering service. You will not be disappointed! Thank you Morgan!
