Pizza! While visiting Illinois from Arizona, we stopped at their LITH location for pizza on our first night, December 23rd. My SIL and I had pizza where the guys had a chicken meal. Always a place that is a just to visit when going to Illinois. Our server was pleasant and refilled as needed.

Very “Italian” indeed ….nah basically an average american resturant masking to serve authentic italian cuisine just because they serve thin crust bar style square cut pizza.
Drinks and service staff were wonderfully attentive and deserve all the best credit to keep the establishment running.
On the matter of food. The steak was good. The appetizers average at best and could be compared to reheated and fried freezer food. The saving grace of several items was the chilli sauce that came with the onion rings. It was the only thing that gave about half of what i ordered flavor. Please do not come here for romantic date night. And advice for Moretti’s is to update their menus to included more spices and seasoning to the “italian food”

I had the pan seared fish and my son had the steak and finished off dinner with dessert. Son was not a fan of the gravy on the mashed potatoes, I thought it was good. Normally I do not like fish, but this was good. The mixed vegetables were fine.
Dessert was amazing, the banana cake was delicious and my son ate the whole ice-cream sunday. We went home absolutely stuffed and happy.

I’ve had two bad experiences at this location, and unfortunately the last one made me realize I won’t be coming back. We were seated and completely forgotten about for more than 30 minutes we didn’t even know who our server was, and no one came to take our drink order or check on us. I understand that restaurants get busy and mistakes happen, and when I finally brought it to their attention they did apologize, which I appreciated. However, it still really sucked to feel overlooked for that long, especially when other tables were being helped.
Given the situation, I do feel like some kind of discount or gesture would have been appropriate. Overall, the service experiences I’ve had here just haven’t been good, and that’s disappointing.

I want to tell you about our server. His name was Omar and he was outstanding. He served our table of 11 people on Thursday, 2/12. We had lots of separate tickets, special orders, drink refills. He kept it all straight and was very attentive. He gets 5 stars from me!

Good atmosphere for large groups. We were 8 of us. We stayed until closing time. Burrata and tomato salad was A+. Lots of olives without taste being overwhelmed. Gluten free options on menu.

My friend and my friend were very excited to try this establishment last night for the first time, and we were extremely disappointed. The website and front door clearly stated that the closing time was 10:00 PM. We arrived at 9:30 PM, well within the posted hours, ready to order. However, we were abruptly told that the kitchen was already closed and that we wouldn’t be able to get any food. This is unacceptable. If the kitchen closes earlier than the stated closing time, that should be clearly communicated. It feels like false advertising to post one set of hours and then operate under another. We wasted our time driving there, and we left feeling frustrated and hungry. I would not recommend this place unless they update their hours or honor the ones they advertise

Me and my girlfriend went to the Moretti‘s in Elgin on 2/26 because we wanted to kill some more time while we were just chatting and catching up so we figured to go for the last 30 minutes that they were open just to sit at the bar and order some water. Immediately the bartender stated she can only make us one drink, and when we ordered water gave us a weird look after that she started listing off other bars that were open. After giving us our waters, she then walked away and talked about us with her coworker. This made us uncomfortable, and we immediately left. Didn’t even drink our waters for it being my first time into Moretti’s. I definitely won’t be going back.
