I just had my first visit to Moreno’s Family Mexican Restaurant, and it was nothing short of phenomenal.
I ordered the steak quesadilla, and WOW — it was next-level delicious. The steak was incredibly tender, packed with bold, mouthwatering flavor, and cooked to perfection. Honestly, it was the best steak quesadilla I’ve ever had — and I’ve had plenty. The texture, the seasoning, the balance — everything was spot on.
The chips and guacamole were also fantastic — fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. But what truly made this experience unforgettable was the genuine hospitality.
As I was leaving, a kind man asked how my day was. We started chatting, and he was so authentic and caring, genuinely interested in how I felt about the food and my experience. Turns out, his name is Larry, and he’s the chef behind the magic.
I told him how impressed I was with the quesadilla, and he shared that they use ribeye steak, carefully portioned by weight to ensure every guest gets the same high-quality experience. No guesswork, no uneven servings — just consistency and excellence in every dish.
Larry’s passion for food and people was inspiring. It reminded me that a truly great restaurant isn’t just about the food — it’s about the people who care, who take pride in what they serve, and who make you feel valued.

I got the Cuervo Gold Fajitas. Half a pound of shrimp and another pound of vegetables. I normally eat a couple tacos but I couldn’t stop. I ate all the shrimp and half of the rest of everything. I NEVER eat that much. It was one of their premier menu items. I posted photos and a video. It had avocado slices, guacamole, sour creme, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, and celery I think. It comes out sizzling and fragrent.

Went for a birthday dinner last minute and everything was ok but definitely pricey. For the same price you can go to COA where the quality and service is much better. The 4% surcharge on debit/credit card is also something I strongly dislike. We split the bill of 5 people into two and were billed with a 14% tip without notice. In total, they billed us $45 in tips which I wouldn’t mind if the service and food was amazing but unfortunately in this situation it was nowhere near that. Will not be coming again.
Absolutely ridiculous for the automated tip whe the server wasn’t around that much and forgot dishes at times to where we needed to ask them to bring them.

This place is amazing!! The food is delicious and the Cadillac Margarita is on point!!! The service is spectacular very accommodating!!!

I used to come here as a younger man. The ownership has changed but this place is just like I remember. Legit. Big portions which are really delicious. The service is on point and they have a sweet little bar in the back with a pool table. All in all a reasonable place that you can have a nice time. #20 beans, rice, taco with chicken, chili Reno (super good) and a beef enchilada. Free chips and salsa.

I had to rate this place a 3 total but food 4. First time eating at a Mexican restaurant where you are not offered tortillas on the side of a pescado frito. However, food itself was AMAZINGGGGggggg!!! Would try them again for sure.
