The heat dome has moved on, and this was one of the first really enjoyable weekends of the summer. Unfortunately, it seemed like everyone in the area was aware of this. I stopped in to grab a sundae and was told it would take about 15 minutes! I decided to skip that order and just went outside and enjoyed the day! The lake seemed to be almost as busy as the restaurant as there were several kayaks and even a few paddle boards out on the water. It would have been a great day (even without the sundae) if someone would have bothered to clear the docks of goose droppings. They were everywhere and some of them appeared to have been there for some time!

Moraine View Restaurant has a better food selection than in decades past. I enjoyed a large Sunday while my daughter enjoyed a Quesadilla. The outdoor seating areas are cute and relaxing. It would be nice to see pontoon boat or mini pontoon boat rentals. I would recommend having live music venues here to drive more traffic. Maybe that could help bring g back horse back riding to Moraine View Park.

For being at a state park, it’s very good and appreciated. The staff is nice and the food is good, especially the fries.
They also sell beer and wine, which is refreshing after kayaking.

The new owners have done an amazing job improving this little gem. Extremely friendly service. Tasty breakfast sandwich. Clean facility. The bathrooms could use some updating but they have started to improve those as well. Well done!

This is another hard to rate place. Everything is fine for what it is but not a 5 star place. Definitely worth a stop if you’re at the park but don’t go out of your way to eat here.

It’s beautiful here! The food is amazing too! The Kayak rental process was informative and helpful in keeping us safe. Also Enrique is very friendly and even helped with the kayak lauch.
