As someone who’s lived in the Flint area for over 20 years and eats out often, I was excited to try the newly opened Mooyah Burgers, Fries & Shakes. It’s located inside the gas station at Bristol and Lennon near Miller Road and the airport, an easy stop with plenty of parking plus a Coffee Beanery and convenience store all in one spot.

Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, even pointing out the “secret menu” posted near the register (check the photos). Service felt welcoming right from the start.

The fries were fresh-cut with skins on, creamy inside with a light crisp outside. I personally would’ve liked them cooked just a touch longer, but flavor-wise they were solid. Portions are generous across the board.

I ordered the double bacon burger and it was loaded with meat, definitely not a skimpy fast-casual burger. The potato bun tasted great but had a hard time containing everything. Bacon was nicely cooked, and the real standout was the Mooyah sauce, closer to a yum yum–style sauce than a traditional burger spread.

The shakes were thick and creamy without being overly sweet, and the fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies were a great surprise.

Only minor downside was waiting about 10 minutes for a takeout box since they were kept in the kitchen while staff managed orders up front.

Overall, great value, big portions, and a strong first impression for a new Flint location. I’d absolutely come back, though next time I’d stick with a single burger since the portions are more than enough.

Great burger & shake options! The burgers are delicious! The fries are perfect! I had both the regular fries & sweet potato fries & they also have homemade chips as option. Potato buns. Plenty of seating for 4-5 people per table & plenty of tables. They bring the food to your table. Great prices for great food! They have a ton of burger options & these in pic are special burgers available, but they have all types of other burgers & kids menu!
Go online to checkout menu or stop by. They have drive-thru too! They also do order online for pickup orders. Downloaded app to earn points for food & drinks!

Great food for the first time being here. They switched mine and my husband burger around, I went up to say just that and they brought him out the correct one. Manager Amy is awesome even though she had someone who was very rude before us.

Everything as it should be.

The burger: Juicy never frozen and simple, paired with a soft and buttery, baked in-store toasted bun it makes I big difference.

The fries: Also cut in-store, they are like a five guys style fry seasoned lightly and clean. I got mine loaded and it paired nicely.

Staff were nice and attentive as well.

This is a must try burger in the flint area, you can’t find a better burger from a fast food place, certainly not one with fresh never frozen patties and fresh baked buns and cut fries.

Absolutely a train wreck waiting to happen. I came here to get away from huge fast food chains that don’t make quality products with professionalism and integrity. Willing to pay more to get good food.

Maybe it’s just the culture in FLINT. Spent 70$ here get home and my son’s 4 piece tender meal has one tender! This kinda behavior isn’t a mistake it’s just blatant disregard for the customers that pay their HARD EARNED MONEY! Fries were extremely soggy and wet. Shakes were good and the burgers are good! Just wow. Never again.

The burgers were delicious. Fresh graded and selected ground meat and toppings. She had the mushroom and Swiss, me the byob loaded without cheese. The other guy had a MDC reported to also to be very good. The fries were soft and nearly soggy and when they cooled, soggy for sure. Milkshake was reported to be great. Again, Ice cream not dairy dessert and real milk. Lost the star due to the fries as all three of us barely ate them. But I’m willing to give r a go in the future.
Over all MooYah can’t go wrong with quality ingredients like these.

Don’t correct the customer, if your made up words are mispronounced just deal with. Don’t ask me for something I didn’t order in the first place. Don’t ask my name, none of your business, and if I saw no don’t ask again. Burger looks like a 3 yr old made it. Your job isn’t that difficult.

I stopped in today at lunch my first time to try there burgers. Just look at my picture. The burger tasted about how it looked average. And the sweet potato fries were burnt.I paid twenty five dollars for this meal plus another burger just like it. In all reality, this was barely a fifteen dollar meal at best.

Stopped in here today to try it during its grand opening and my family and I were really pleasantly surprised! The selection of burger builds is great and the fact that you can customize/add anything (pro tip: fried onions!) is great. Quality of the burgers and fries is high- the buns especially are pillowy soft and fries are well-seasoned with the smallest hint of sweetness. We ended up chatting with one of the staffers, Will, who was really friendly and seemed to genuinely love his job. He told us that this is the very first location in Michigan; it’s worth a try!

I think this place will be better with time. Currently the employees are too new to understand their rewards system, this took up a lot of time and I was still charged for my “free” item. This was my second visit, both times the fries were cold (even eating them right away inside the car), the burger was okay on the first visit, better than your standard fast food restaurant Burger. On my second visit I tried the Diablo dog, it was good but not really worth the price. Overall Mooyah is better than your average fast food restaurant, yet not that great.
