Stopped by with the family and we all loved it! The Hanger Steak was delicious and the chocolate chip pancakes were so good and fluffy. Regardless of being a big group, our waitress was very attentive with each one of us. Thank you Sage!

Inside decor was cute, loved all the dog pictures. Food was good. Just had a classic burger, fries and slaw. Was cooked to my wishes. Served a local soda which to my surprise was very good. Decently priced food. Much better than going to any fast food chain. Service was great, waitress was friendly, even made sure to give me a to go cup of the orange cream soda. Finding a place to park was a little difficult.

I did not take any pictures but the more I thought of it afterwards, I needed to leave them a review. The people that work there were unbelievable and so efficient. Conversed with us to let us know there would be a table soon as there was a short wait. Got our table and got our food fast. Our waitress was probably one of the best we’ve had anywhere in a long time. We were in and out as I knew they needed tables. Food was great. I would go there again in a heartbeat.

Hidden gem of Kalkaska. I stop nearly every time I’m driving through, even when it’s not on our route. Food is always hot, fresh and delicious. The kitchen cranks the food out so quickly and their service staff is always kind and friendly. Gary our golden retriever had his first dining experience and absolutely loved it. He was greeted like a regular guest and got his own bowl of water plus he loved his burger! I will keep coming back to Moose & Stella’s plus who doesn’t love the dog theme!

Our new favorite spot in Kalkaska! The chicken noodle soup is perfect on a cold day and the crispy chicken wrap was delicious we take the pups and sit on the patio.

The food is amazing. We had the Country skillet and corned beef hash skillet. Sometimes you see photos but the flavor isn’t there; not true here. Delicious!!! My wife’s smore latte was great too. Portions were very reasonable. We each had leftovers enough for another meal. We’ll be back!!!

Was fairly busy on a Sunday morning but didn’t feel like we waited long at all! Everyone was very bright and friendly– and Linda was working overtime directing traffic AND seating folks AND bussing tables! Give Linda a raise!

We both got one of the specialty drinks (white chocolate hazelnut cold brew and white chocolate lavender) and would 100% get again!

We will be dreaming about the mushroom poutine for awhile! The gravy was so tasty!
I had the PB&J French Toast which was amazing and so pretty! My partner had the steak and eggs which was also super good, steak cooked perfectly.

Yes, yes, YES!! If there were somewhere else in the world that could have been more perfect than Moose & Stella’s Cafe for a Father’s Day breakfast of 2025, I don’t think that it exists other than in my own home, Ha!

While traveling for a family trip, I researched for a breakfast place in Kalkaska, MI. It was the baked French toast dish that truly caught my eye. I’ve never had it before, so that was my goal. It should be yours too!

The avocado toast, Yukon Gold potatoes, seasonal bacon pancakes, and regular French toast were also amazing! It is absolutely worth every penny! The parked cars at the location said it all. I was worried we wouldn’t get the five of us seated right away, but it happened immediately. Great service, atmosphere, and food!
Go!!

1000/10!!!! We came across this adorable diner on our way back down state from Traverse City and we are SO happy we stopped. We too have a pup named Moose so the name immediately caught our eye, then upon reading reviews we decided we had to try it out for ourselves. We had the burger, country skillet and pancakes — everything was delicious!! I especially loved the homemade ranch chips dipped in their homemade ranch dressing OMG
And guess what? The food isn’t even the best part!!! We absolutely adored our server Mariam. She was so friendly, charming, helpful and on top of it! We never asked for anything, she anticipated our needs before we even knew we needed them! Even the patrons we encountered were super friendly. Just a little wonderful and happy place to be. I can’t wait for our chance to go back and introduce more friends and family to this gem!

Great breakfast spot. Friendly staff and good food. Could be the best corned beef hash I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to have it again.
