Absolutely the best BBQ I might have eaten in my 68 years!
I had the 2 meat platter, the burnt ends with smoked Turkey! Then Jalapeño corn bread! Then, fried Corn on the Cob! No words for how great that was and great curly fries!
My wife had a sliced Brisket sandwich. Our friends also had 2 Burnt end specials with Broccoli, and one had Tater tots! I feel like I can write a 10,000 words essay. Karen our server was fantastic. The atmosphere is fantastic. It is quiet and we, the four of us were able to have amazing food and conservation. If you like-love BBQ, this is.one of the best I have ever been to. I have visited in Southern states, Been in Texas and so many other places. Moose creek in in out back yard. If you aren’t a local, the trip to Lolo Montana is well worth it. To the owner and Chef., I can’t, the people I was with, can’t thank you enough. 100 stars.
Update 12/23/2023. My wife and I met our great friends for lunch. To say amazing is an understatement! 100 stars is what this place deserves. I had a 2 meat special with burnt ends and Turkey. I started off with brisket chili, which was fabulous with huge chunks of Brisket. I took home 70 % of my lunch. I had the fried green tomatoes and the onion rings. Great. The cornbread grwat. My wife had the prime rib dip with Grandma’s green beans. Fantastic! Our friends both had burnt end sandwiches, one with broccoli, and the other had green beans as well. We were able to sit quietly and enjoy our time together as well. The best BBQ in Ravalli / Missoula County by far. I will post photos! If you love BBQ, this is the best place!
Wow! The BBQ is absolutely fantastic! I had the burnt ends with the chicken! Wowwwwwww! Then the Jalapeño Corn bread! Wowwwww! The burnt ends literally melt in your mouth. Great portion! Then the smoked chicken was amazing. They give you honey butter for the Coen bread as well. I got the spicy sauce as I love super hot. It

I’ve been going here for a decade. But I will never go again… Bill, You’ve lost your way.. Sad situation, I used to love this place. They catered our wedding and the food was excellent.. This is not the case anymore.

This is the absolute best BBQ place. The BBQ is a 100 on a 10 scale, great service. Wonderful atmosphere. 4 of us went there fot lunch today. We all got the burnt end sandwich with a side. I had the fried corn on the cob! Wow! My wife had the potato salad. Wow! Our friends Brian and Jodi had the tater tots and broccoli. Wow! We had the lunch special so the sandwich, drink andv1 side for $14.00! Tremendous value. I have been there multiple time and each time was flawlessly delicious and fantastic service. This place was clean and very inviting

I have been a loyal Moose Creek customer since they originally opened in Hamilton. Their new staff is a joke. You order to-go food, and they don’t bother to tell you they are out of something, they just substitute whatever they want. I called to ask what happened, and I got a giggly sorry. After living around the country for 12 years, primarily in the south, this is honestly ranking very high on the list in regards to BBQ. Turkey was excellent and Smokey. Brisket was tender and juicy with a nice amount of fat left. Tri Tip was excellent and cooked perfectly. Pulled port had a nice crust, great texture and flavor. Gouda Bites are now a mandatory with any future order. Jalapeño Cornbread was just right and wasn’t dry at all.
If I had to give it a 0-10 rating, it would be a 10/10 for Montana, and a solid 9/10 over all the places I’ve been to, from NC/SC/GA/FL and TX.
Great job, keep it up. We will be coming back.

My wife and I stopped off to have dinner at this restaurant last week. We found the overall aesthetic of the restaurant to be a classic home style mom and pop vibe. The restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived which came as a pleasant treat to us as we are very hungry. We ordered the two person sampler menu item to get a good gauge of all of the barbecue meats they served. Unfortunately our service was a bit lackadaisical and we found that they forgot a few of our sides and had to return up to the counter a couple times to get them. As for the food overall it was a satisfactory barbecue experience. Unfortunately the ribs were absolutely terrible as it seemed they had been sitting in a warmer for most of the day and meat was very hard, stuck to the bone and overseasoned. The brisket and pulled pork were definitely the highlights of the show both being juicy, having a solid smoke flavor and tender. The rib tips had a good cook on them but they had almost a metallic or liquid smoke undertone that made them slightly unpalatable. The sides were solid but nothing magnificent. Overall if we were to return to this restaurant again we would order only the pulled pork, the brisket, Texas toast and Mac n cheese bites.

tried calling to place an order 25 minutes before closing and the lady acted like she couldnt hear me and hung up, so we ran out there to get food. 10 minutes before closing and we walk in and she says unfortunately we are closed for the night we close at 7 !!!!! not good service at all, serve your customers until closing time!!!!!!!

Best French fries ever my husband gos to just get them. I did have one time we went and there was a couple on there eating and we were told it was going to take 45 minutes until they could get our single order of fries so I said screw it , my poor husband was so mad to. Usually there is not a problem to get his fries
